1989 Japan Prost vs Senna Battle.. Ron Dennis' Appeal?
Why did Ron Dennis appeal the 1989 Japan GP's disqualification of Ayrton Senna? If my understanding is right, both Senna and Prost drove for McLaren and McLaren had already won the WCC. Why did he appeal a decision which would make no difference from a team principal's perspective since irrespective of Senna or Prost the WDC would still be won by a McLaren driver. Was it a bias or was it done purely out of sporting fairness and integrity?
Also why did both McLaren drivers retire the following race - Australian GP 1989.
Somewhere in his dungeon, Ron Dennis is probably thinking what a good discovery Hamilton was...

I know most F1 fans have love/hate relationship with Ron Dennis. Probably for a good reason - he was quite a freak.
Anyways, I watched a 2 hour interview with him about a year ago and being McLaren fan recently put it together into a short documentary style vid.

Are Dennis Rodman and Metta World Peace(Ron Artest) the first vocal proponents of the importance of Mental Health in the NBA?
As I was watching the last dance I noticed that some things World Peace said mirrored a few things Rodman did as well. World Peace asked for personal absences in the start of the season which others thought was ridiculous but he wanted to take a break to alleviate his anxiety and depression. Obviously he did not go about it in a perfect way just as Rodman and this is a reason his teammates and coaches were kind of not receptive to their actions. Rodman similarly also famously went to Vegas in the middle of the season and changed his outlook on life after breaking down emotionally and mentally when he was with the Pistons.
Later on World Peace learned how to control his emotions and changed his name to be more positive and showed the advantages of receiving help. World Peace shut down his ego and was a key piece for the Lakers in 2010.
Is/was Ron Dennis hated?
The question is simple, but if he is, why is it exactly?
It's one of the topics that I've never really learned about and he was a pretty big character in F1 in his time, so I would definitely love to hear some of your opinions on him!

In 1993, Ayrton Senna got a commerical plane from Sao Paulo to Frankfurt to make an unscheduled stop at Rio because Mclaren hadn't wired across his $1 million for the upcoming race in Magny Cours. He told Ron Dennis that he wouldn't get back on unless he got the money!

The Ultra rare McLaren F1 GTR XP1 LM at MTC. Ron Dennis promised Lewis Hamilton him this car if Lewis ever won 2 consecutive championships with McLaren. So Lewis put an identifying mark somewhere in the car so that McLaren won't try and give him a replica which makes this one even more special.
