A list of puns related to "Romeo And Juliet Mercutio"
Hello, I just saw the 1996 film Romeo and Juliet and I have 3 questions about Mercutio.
Why does he scream after he was hit by a broken glass or has seen his wound, The plague on your two houses! "?
.why is he pushing Romeo away and screaming βNo!β when he caught up with him and held him? Didn't he want him to see him die?
.why does he say to Romeo when he was about to die or about to die, "I was wounded under your arm"? And why does Romeo say that he meant well? .
Tybalt comes to fight Romeo, Mercutio challenges him by being sarcastic. Romeo separates them, but Tybalt cheap shots Mercutio.

He's the most important character in the play for many reasons:
He is the tone setter, what I mean is that when he is alive he is the comic relief in the play, but when he dies it is the pivotal moment in the play that the tone shifts from a rom-com to a tradgedie.
Him and benvolio are the one that sets the play in motion by encouraging romeo to go to the ball to forget about rosaline
He is one of the few characters in the play who doesn't believe in fate because "dreams often lie"
He is neither Montague or capulet so family honour means nothing to him, he helps romeo because he loves him in a brotherly way
His queen man speech is full of metaphors and stuff so really easy to analyse if it comes up as the extract
And there's loads more, now i got 2 hours to cram some Christmas carol quotations into my head
I'm planning on auditioning for Romeo and Juliet, and going for Mercutio. The audition calls for "a single prepared Shakespearean monologue that reflects the character/s they wish to play. Any play except 'Romeo & Juliet'." Any idea what I could do for Mercutio?
Just 3 flaws, I need it for an essay i totally forgot about. I can write the essay, but some ideas would help.

We have a son that we named Rory, and are expecting a little girl. Iβve always loved the name Juliet, but am wondering if this duo is a little bit too similar to Romeo and Juliet?
I love classic girls names that arenβt super common. I know Juliet isnβt a βuniqueβ name, but itβs not as common as Emma or Charlotte. Any thoughts?
