A list of puns related to "Romantic Mango"
Together, they tango
My wardrobe is starting to have a base in brands like J.Crew, Everlane, Calvin Klein, Lucky Brand, Banana Republic, Madewell, Old Navy and others. I think these styles are flattering, classic and mostly timeless. Iβm not impulsive or trendy enough to follow fast fashion, but I want to incorporate a subtle alternative edge in my outfits.
When I was in high school I dressed like a sluggish punk girl, mostly wearing black. In college I started branching out to wearing bold colors, boho outfits and whatever felt fun. Starting my career, I delved into predictable office attire. Now I want to bring all these full circle and develop a style based on timeless looks with a hint of edge or boho that accentuates my personality.
Iβm looking for brand recommendations that offer a twist on the classics. Help?
I made a goal to read 12 books in Spanish in 2021. Iβm happy to say I made it (barely)! Iβm always looking for books, so hereβs a quick review of each book I read in case youβre searching as well.
Many of these books were not originally written in Spanish, though for the most part I do search for Hispanic authors.
For each book, Iβll add a minimum level that I think you need to be to read this book comfortably. For myself, I most often read books below my level of Spanish. I find that in doing this I both learn more and enjoy reading more. At lower levels I tend to notice every interesting use of grammar because most of it is so easy. At higher levels I tend to have to focus on understanding, and I think I miss some of the details.
This experience has turned me into a true believer of reading being one of the keys to fluency. My Spanish has rapidly improved through this process. I try to force myself to read out loud whenever possible, which has also helped a lot.
Here we go:
La Alquimista - B2 Audience: Adult Eh. This book is fine. I liked the message of going after what you want and not being afraid to be bold. I thought it was delivered in an overly simplistic format with a focus on things that, in my opinion, arenβt the most important things in life.
Yo No Soy Tu Perfecta Hija Mexicana - B2 Audience: Young Adult Really enjoyed this book. I think it provides a valuable look into the life of a first generation child of immigrants in the US. This was a βvictoryβ book for me because by the end I could read through easily, without needing to look up vocab, and that was a really cool experience. This author tends to have a limited range of vocab, so I think thatβs one of the things that helped with that.
El Color de Mis Palabras - B1 Audience: Late elementary Love, love this book. I canβt recommend it enough, really for any level. Beautiful writing, beautiful story. Just one of those magical books. Embarrassing fact: I tear up every time I think of this book, which has been three times already while writing/editing this review. Now four.
Antes de ser Libres - B1 Audience: Middle school Enjoyed this quite a bit. Itβs kind of a sobering read. Good look into a tough time in the history of the Dominican Republic.
Esperanza Renace - B1 Audience: Middle school Again, really lovely. Tells the story of a girl who moves from being very wealthy in Mexico to very poor in the US. A great story of family and learning to be truly strong and fight for

Once upon a time, Uchiha Fugaku was a badass ninja capable of slaughtering entire clans by himself - which he did, many times, on behalf of his village. But one day, during one of those casual slaughters, he found a toddler in the enemy village, and he couldn't bring himself to kill it, as it had pitch-black eyes so similar to his own. That toddler became the only surviving member of his clan, and Fugaku named him Itachi.
In a few short years, it became clear that 'Uchiha' Itachi was the most talented shinobi his clan had seen in generations. Which was concerning, because said clan was too proud to admit their vaunted prodigy didn't actually carry their blood.
No one could remember ever seeing Itachi use the Sharingan, but he learned new techniques so quickly, his aim was so accurate, and his genjutsu so potent, surely, they thought, he must've used it at some point. Itachi himself went along with it, thinking it was funny, but he did secretly wonder if he'd ever manage to awaken his Sharingan for real. At least his parents never seemed disappointed in him.
Unbeknownst to anyone, young Itachi spent many a lonely night staring into a mirror, repeatedly whispering "Sharingan" into the unchanging reflection of his stubbornly black eyes.
Suffice it to say, the ruse was surprisingly effective for years, so when Itachi's beloved pet cat got carelessly run over by a summoned ninja-hippo one day, Fugaku was really surprised to find out Itachi's original clan also possessed a unique dojutsu of their own.
"Hey dad, I just got back from Fluffy's funeral, and I noticed my eyes got all scratchy and weird-looking. Is that normal, or should I go to the hospital?"
"What the f- I mean, yes, Itachi... I see... You've finally awakened your Sharingan."
"Huh. But dad, are you sure that's a Sharingan? It doesn't look anything like your Sharingan, or mom's. Your Sharingan has commas in it. Mine looks like a beyblade."
"Yes, that is... It's a special kind of Sharingan. We call it, oh man... Manga, mango... Mangekyo. Mangekyo Sharingan, that's it. It's the best kind of Sharingan there is, actually. And it's super ultra special and secret, so just don't let anyone know you have it, alright?"
And so Fugaku somehow managed to keep up the ruse for several more years, but Itachi was smart, and he had questions. Why did his special Sharingan draw people into his mindscape and conjure black fire instead of doing the usual Sharingan things, like c

Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.
This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.
