What are these stains/minerals on these quartz crystals? And what are the top 2 rocks in the border of the lid? The first one has quartz in it but also another layered crystal that doesnt look like quartz.

My my mother found this 40 years ago in a location known for carnelian. It is by far my favorite specimen to this day and I am an avid rock hound who has found several cool rocks. It is the size of a hardball/softball and it has a 3/4 inch layer of carnelian around crystal.

Is this a mineral? If so, what kind of mineral is it? There is a layer of little shiny crystals on top. The bottom looks like normal rock. The small crystals are able to scratch glass and it is light to hold. I may have found this rock in the state of Alabama.

Anyone know what this is? I took the pic at Enchanted Rock, and this caught my eye. Initially, I thought it was the leftover eroded surface of a stream that flows based on rain, but followed it and that wasnt it. It's a band around the hill. What is this rock? Found in a limestone quarry in North-Rhine Westphalia, Germany. ~ 10x5 cm big, it seems like some parts can scratch a knife and some can't (it's kind of hard to see). Bigger individual crystals are slightly red on the bottom, otherwise colourless. Any guess appreciated!
