A list of puns related to "Riverside, Connecticut"
I was thinking about going to CT for the September 13-16 and 15-16 regattas and was wondering if anyone has gone in the past or is planning on going. I haven't been in those areas before and would love to hear recs on anything, even shops that are a must see, etc. If anyone has any suggestions, I will add them to my list of things to do while there!

... keep reading on reddit β‘This isn't about masks themselves, but thought this subreddit might have some insight. Where do you think masks, and covid in general, is taken seriously by the population? Even in most of the blue states it seems a lot of people if not the majority don't wear masks. I'm using Canada as a frame of reference, where almost everyone wears masks indoors. If you had choices as to where to live or travel to, where if any are good options?
From what I gather from Reddit, etc. , and correct me if my perceptions are wrong:
Is there a good strategy to know how many people take masks and covid seriously in a city before you visit? There is the Delphi Group site which has survey results showing percentage of people who say they wear masks by state/county in US, but not sure how reliable that is and seems

Runner guy running in the bikes-only part of the greenway, around P.J. O'Hurley's. I ding my bell a couple times and call out, even-tone, "You're in a bikes-only area, sir!" Him: "Kiss my ass."
Guy on a real overland motorcycle northbound on Riverside Drive who slowed down for this, but ran every red light from 108th to 114th. Connecticut plate, but I could tell you only the middle digits 'cause the outer ones were taped over with blue painters' tape.
Do your worst!
It really does, I swear!
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
Edit: I can't believe how much this has blown up. Thank you everyone I've had a blast reading through the replies π
On May 30, 1974 the Connecticut State PoliceΒ received a tip about two murders in 1970. The tip led them to a wooded area several hundred feet behind a house on Shewville Road in Ledyard, Conneticut where they found two bodies wrapped in blankets and buried in a shallow grave. One body was identified as Gustavous Lee Carmichael, a convicted bank robber and fugitive, last seen on October 5, 1970.
It is thought the other body belonged to a 18-30 year old Caucasian woman, estimated to be 5'2"-5'5" tall and 100-110 lbs. She had brown or auburn hair and a medium build. She had no maxilla due to gun shot. Tooth #30 had two separate occlusal amalgams and #17 was mesially inclined.
The woman was found wearing tan leather "wet look" vest, a gold/tan sweater, a brown tweed skirt, brown granny knee-high boots and a yellow rain coat. She also had a class-like ring with the letters "JHNS" or "JNHS" and the initials "ILN" on the side of the ring and the date 1917 ingraved on the inside. Her other ring was an inexpensive one with an imitation emerald. The woman had a wood-carved broach/pendant in the shape of an abstract ceremonial head. Lady Clairol hair roller set was also found nearby.
Investigators found out she had been known to have been driving around in a 1964 green Oldsmobile with either Massachusetts or Maine plates. The vehicle was found dumped in Hartford, Connecticut with a Maine inspection sticker. She was last seen with the other victim, Carmichael. The woman may have used the names Sandy, Connie and Lorraine Stahl.
A New Jersey Bell telephone bill showing a list of numbers she was known to have called is publicly available. Calls were made to Tennessee (Nashville), Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, Langhorne, Bristol, Levittown), New Jersey (Hightstown, Riverside, Caldwell, Allentown, Burlington, and from Neward), Delaware (Wilmington), and New York (NYC, Buffalo). The woman is thought to have relatives from Tennessee, West Virginia or the Carolinas and may have been form New York area herself.
Two men have been convicted of their murders; Donald R. Brant and Richard DeFreitas. According to DeFreitas' former common-law-wife, they were shot to death on December 31, 1970 in his rented home on Shewville Road because DeFreitas feared the woman would lead the police to him. The woman expressed her fears about getting caught to DeFreitas' wife, who soon told him.
Carmichael and the woman were looking for a place to "hide out" and DeFreitas helped them

I'm surprised it hasn't decade.
Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.
This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.

Me: Hi hungry, I'm dad.
She had no idea what was going on but I finally did it.
