A list of puns related to "Rituparna Sengupta"
The legendary Satyajit Ray is Indiaβs most celebrated director across the globe and his work represents the finest of Indian and Bengali Cinema. Several Ray masterpieces were inspired from the works of Rabindranath Tagore, so it was natural that the void created after Rayβs passing would get filled by someone who took inspiration from the works of both Ray and Tagore. In 1992, the year of Rayβs passing, a new presence in Bengali cinema was felt for the first time as Rituparno Ghosh released his directorial debut βHirer Angtiβ. It was a natural passing of the torch and Ghosh quickly created his own legacy with 12 national award wins in a relatively short period as the natural heir of Ray before his untimely passing in 2013. "Utsabβ stands out as one of the brightest gems of intimate emotional dramas cut from the same cloth as many Ray masterpieces.

The days of thought provoking masterpieces from the Bengali masters like Ray, Sen, Sinha and Ghatak felt like a distant memory as the new millennium approached. Similar to Bollywood and other regional cinemas, Bengali movies were now focused more and more on commercial aspects of movie making. During this period Ghoshβs intimate tales felt like a familiar yet fresh breath of air. Utsab is a homage to Satyajit Rayβs cinema with multiple references to the master in the movie. The opening scene of the movie with the preparation of Goddess Durga is compared with Rayβs opening scene from βJoy Baba Felunathβ. There is a mention of Ray wanting to cast the elder daughter of the family in one of his movies and the movieβs biggest connect with the maestro is its leading lady.
Madhabi Mukherjee was the life and central character of Satyajit Rayβs masterpieces βMahanagarβ, βCharulataβ and βKapurushβ in which she shined and received tremendous global acclaim and success. Her movies in the 60s especially her collaboration with Ray was the peak of her career. She continued acting with other directors in the 70s and 80s but could never touch the same heights of her glory days with Ray. It is not a sur

When you look down from the height of fame, how far do you see? Not too far maybe, when you are a top Bollywood hero.
Many of our them, ahem, are not exactly tall. All the three Khans, Ranveer Singh, Shahid Kapoorβ¦the list can go on. The top ladies, on the other hand, tower. Deepika Padukone, Anushka Sharma, Sonam Kapoor, Disha Patani and Kriti Sanon are all in the 5.8 feet or more club, with Kriti standing the tallest.
Though the heroes donβt hand out CVs declaring their heights, unlike, say, Kriti, who in a YouTube video, is seeing claiming she is 5.9, and there is not much data in the public domain that prove a heroβs height conclusively β online SRKβs length varies between 5.5 to 5.8 feet β it is quite clear that many of our leading ladies are also leading from the front, upwards, leaving the hero below.
Yet. Yet. Yet. When is the last time you have seen a heroine shoot up, past the hero on screen? However tall she is in real life, she is less than her man on screen. Preferably in money, status and age too, but certainly in height.
Till date, heroes try every filmi trick to look taller, and the women stoop to conquer.
True, we have seen Salman Khan and Sushmita Sen together in Biwi No. 1. There Sushmita always managed to look a few inches taller, despite her flat shoes and flattened hairstyle. Journalist Chaitanya Padukone, in fact, recalls Salman Khan telling him on the sets of Biwi No. 1 that he did not care much about his height as he had a macho physique.
βSo what if the heroine is taller? I donβt need to stand on a stool to match her height,β Chaitanya Padukone recalls Salman telling.
But in his earlier films, Salman, with Aamir, was known to wear heeled shoes. Short actors like him are known to favour βelevator shoesβ, with more than 2-to-2.5-inch heels outside, and of a similar height inside.

First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
Do your worst!
