A list of puns related to "Richard Rodgers Sr."
I just had to share my experience at Hamilton in NYC last week, as it's not one I will soon forget.
I promised my daughter a trip to NY and Hamilton tickets when she graduated from high school, and had everything set up and ready to go for a trip in May of 2020. Obviously that didn't happen, but we finally felt safe enough to reschedule for this past week (we live in Tennessee, so this took considerable planning). We went to the show on Wednesday, November 3rd after a dinner in SoHo.
I made it to intermission before I started feeling nauseated, out of nowhere. I thought maybe it was from sitting high up with my knees practically in my chest - if you've been up that high in the RR theater, there's virtually zero legroom. I thought I'd make my way to the ladies' room just in case I was going to be sick, but that was not going to happen - again if you've been to the RR theater, you know the situation in the ladies' room during intermission. You're not getting in quickly.
I frantically headed back upstairs in search of another bathroom (nope) and asked a bartender if she had anything I could use if I were to get sick - though it was starting to feel like when, rather than if. She was sweet to give me a ginger ale and an empty Hamilton tumbler, but there was no way it would have been a sufficient vessel for what was becoming clear was food poisoning from the restaurant we just left.
Enter Linda - sweet, wonderful mezzanine usher Linda - who took one look at me and dragged a trash can into the merch booth, along with a chair, so I could have a somewhat private place to become violently ill over and over, sparing me further humiliation. She checked on me every few minutes and made sure I was hanging in there - I definitely wasn't, but her kindness and presence were comforting.
A few minutes in, the theater manager, Tim, came by and Linda filled him in. Without hesitation, he went off in search of anything that may help and eventually came back with a pile of medications from backstage, along with his business card and more ginger ale. He instructed me to email him so I could come back another day to see the second half of the show. Linda offered to escort my daughter to me when the show ended, squeezed my hand and sent me off with good wishes. She also insisted I call 311 to report the restaurant (I haven't done this and don't want to disclose the name of the restaurant until I do).
I didn't think much of Tim's offer at the time, but I did email him the nex

"Misconduct complaints trickle in against lawyers involved in Murdaugh investigations"
South Carolinaβs legal misconduct watchdog Office of Disciplinary Counsel ("ODC") has its hands full with the ongoing Richard Alexander "Alex" Murdaugh, Sr, investigations. Already, the South Carolina ODC has fielded at least four known complaints against attorneys involved in the web of investigations, civil lawsuits, and criminal charges that have ensnared disgraced Hampton County lawyer Richard Alexander βAlexβ Murdaugh, Sr. Those complaints will drag South Carolinaβs judicial branch, which typically investigates lawyers and judges slowly and secretly, into the same harsh spotlight that has followed every twist, suspension, charge, indictment of Alex Murdaugh.
Richard Alexander "Alex" Murdaugh, Sr. β a purported scion of a prominent family of lawyers in Hampton County, SC β reported finding his wife, Maggie Murdaugh, and son Paul Murdaugh shot to death outside the familyβs Colleton County hunting lodge.
In the months since, Murdaugh has been slapped with an array of criminal charges, money laundering, and civil lawsuits alleging that over the past half-decade he used a fraudulent bank account to steal millions of dollars owed to his law partners and legal clients.
Alex Murdaugh was also was charged with insurance fraud after confessing to orchestrating a botched assisted suicide attempt intended to leave behind a $10 million life insurance payout for his remaining son.
One Complaint was from his former law firm of Peters, Murdaugh, Parker, Eltzroth, Detrick ("PMPED") which accused him of stealing from partners and clients and forced him to resign in early September.
His lawyers have admitted to some of Murdaughβs misconduct and blamed his actions on a 20-year opioid addiction that worsened after the June slayings of his wife and son.
The state Supreme Court suspended Murdaughβs law license in September at Disciplinary Counselβs request.
One is Cory Fleming, another of Murdaughβs closest friends. The Beaufort, SC lawyer faces accusations he helped Murdaugh steal $3.4 million from wrongful death settlements owed to the sons of Gloria Satterfield, Murdaughβs late housekeeper. That complaint was filed by Eric Bland, who sued Cory Fleming and Richard Alexander Murdaugh, Sr. to recover the money for the Satterfield family.

>During the 2013 South Carolina Law Enforcement Division probe into then South Carolina House Member Bobby Harrell's campaign violations, Solicitor David Pascoe found possible evidence that James Merrill and Rick Quinn Jr. had engaged in ethics violations while they served their respective terms as South Carolina House of Representatives Majority Leader. Both Quinn's were implicated after Merrill told investigators that while Quinn Jr. was House Majority Leader, he had Republican caucus members use his family's print shop for campaign materials which investigators believed was a possible violation of the South Carolina Campaign Reform Act.
>
>A broader investigation into these violations began after South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson recused himself from the investigation due to prior contact with members of Harrell's staff. The probe ended in 2017. In 2018, the released Grand Jury Report found that "corporate entities retained Richard Quinn for the purpose of gaining access to and influence over public officials, and by failing to report Mr. Quinn's services, influenced the outcome of legislative matters with no accountability or disclosure to the public in violation of the State Lobbying Act."
>
>Quinn initially faced trial for eleven counts of perjury and one count of obstruction of justice related to the 2013 investigation into state house corruption.
>On December 13, 2017, he resigned from the South Carolina legislature after pleading guilty to a charge of misconduct while in office. The prosecutor, David Pascoe, had initially charged Quinn with two counts of misconduct, a charge of common law misconduct, and a charge of statutory law misconduct, but Quinn plead guilty to just one charge. Pascoe has been criticized for not taking Quinn to trial. Quinn was also charged with criminal conspiracy on October 28, 2017 but those chargers were dropped with the plea deal.

>In 2018, the judge overseeing Quinn's sentencing gave him one year in prison, but suspended the order, ignoring the plea deal's recommended prison time. Instead, Quinn will have to do 500 hours of communit
