And also why is Rachel's mother at Carol and Susan's wedding?
Normally, I have no trouble finding songs but I've search everywhere and have very little to go on since I heard this on the back of a Garbage truck as it sped down our street today blaring this song, I've never heard. No time to Shazam.
Picture the chopper scene from Predator where there flying in a Little Richard is playing. The songs sounds so much like that.
These lyrics might not be 100% but the vocalist was wailing "He's in the lobby but can't in", "He's in the lobby but can't in", "He's in the lobby but can't in" repeated x3 or 4x and then some awesome horns and rhythm instruments cam in...and the they drove off.
Genre: old rock like Chuck Berry and Little Richard

Just love that early rock sound
It's difficult to imagine the deep and passionate rift between the Brahms and the Wagner factions during the 19th century. Wagner's unsavory and controversial nature and opinions contributed to the high passions and deep disdain for the musical direction he was pioneering, even if his supreme talent could not be denied.

From Wikipedia:
"Tristan is often granted a special place in musical history; many see it as the beginning of the move away from conventional harmony and tonality and consider that it lays the groundwork for the direction of classical music in the 20th century."
Despite it's special place in history, the aforementioned disdain was quite a bit on display from the critics during the United States premiere of Tristan, which took place on 1 December 1886.

Tristan und Isolde received eight performances this season.
As the premiere of such an important work is an event of note, the music critics of the day were on hand to give their insight and opinions. It's always enjoyable to note when a critic gets it wrong, and it is especially so in light of the derision and condscension the critic shows primarily to the public. This is also an excellent example of how a work of art takes hold with the public despite the opinion of critics.
This is from the review of the first performance on 1 December.
