Cool fact I just learned. I wonder who will be the first president to approve over 1 quadrillion dollars in annual spending ๐ค Barron Trump?
I do not know to much about our centennial president. He seemed effective, yet did not get re-elected, probably to his lack of public persuasion. Was he good or bad, and why?

Harrison wasn't really liked for his time nor is he liked now. Rather unremarkable and disappointing, but he does have pros that need to be remembered and not overlooked like they usually are.
DOMESTIC POLICY
Harrison was pretty progressive in this area. Unlike McKinley, Harrison actually pushed for a lot of bills and some actually passed. After the immense harm Cleveland caused to the nation in domestic affairs, Harrison fought to do what was right. He passed the Dependent and Disabilities Act in 1890, which allowed pensions of $6 to $12 for disabled veterans, widows and children under 16. The value of which would be between $169 and $338 in 2019, barely the raid on the treasury that the bill has been made out to be. Harrison was right to help his fellow veterans. He was also right to protect blacks. He attempted to pass a civil rights bill to help fellow blacks and always questioned the racists that were in Congress and the Senate. He also endorsed a proposed constitutional amendment to overturn the Supreme Court ruling in the Civil Rights cases (1883) that declared much of the Civil Rights act of 1875 unconstitutional. None of these measures gained congressional approval. He was also right for signing the Land Revision act of 1891. This made Ben one of the earliest pro environment presidents. It helped to clean up air and it preserved the great Yellowstone. However, there was one big problem with Harrison's record. His reaction to wounded knee was a disaster. After some racists clashed with the Sioux tribe, Harrison sent in troops that just made everything worse and the massacre was prolonged. Overall, many Indians were dead with their children and family and their houses were burned down and destroyed. This was wrong of Harrison and he should have not been proud of this.
FOREIGN POLICY
Harrison did have a few little successes here, he helped to rebuild the Navy just like Chester Arthur before him. Harrison also organized a conference in Pan America but unfortunately it wasn't able to accomplish much. It was a novel idea however. Harrison also avoided war with Chile after it was at the edge of war. It was super close but Harrison avoided it with his stance being the same the entire situation. Chile unfairly attacked American sailors and Harrison in response criticized the Chilean government. Harrison's problems come in the layer of Hawaiian annexation and aggression in Canada and Haiti. Starting with Canada, he aggressively seize
