A list of puns related to "Revelations Entertainment"
I think I'll let things happen organically. My big issue is the fundamental problem of feeling "the spirit" which is really just frisson and being told how to interpret it. I've a lot of other issues with the church, but I want to make these young men reconsider thier assumptions and not just argue about polygamy, and church history. Any advice?
So, this was announced yesterday. Here's the basic breakdown on their site: https://www.modiphius.com/homeworld.html
And here's an interview up on Polygon: https://www.polygon.com/2019/10/17/20917861/homeworld-revelations-pen-and-paper-rpg
Set in the timeline of the first game, it focuses on the crew within one of the ships within the Kushan fleet as they journey home and / or establish their place on Hiigara.
Uses the 2d20 rule system (which I've not had personal experience with, I admit).
I have to say, there's a small part of me that's feeling extra good about being a Harmon fan.
At a time when more and more of our faves are being revealed as problematic, there's something comforting about Dan's transparency. The person least likely to have skeletons in their closet definitely seems to be the guy with the closet so well lit that you can see all the way to the back corners.
After being repeatedly disappointed by artists I've admired, it's good to be a fan of someone whose weird sex stuff is pretty much a matter of public record.
For those of you who do not know this, the Revelation-It's Grand Climax... book wasn't the WTS' first time to publish a verse by verse interpretation of the book of Revelation, nope! Rutherford and his crack writing team produced one back in 1917, entitled The Finished Mystery. It's a joke! See for yourselves... SMH...
Revelation 8:2
(FM 1918) - The 7 trumpets in Revelation 8:2 are the trumpets of the Lutherans, the Anglicans, the Presbyterians, the Baptists, the Methodists, the Evangelical Alliance and The Bible Students (chart after page 64)
(RC 2006) - When the sounding of the seven trumpets got under way in 1922, the Bible Studentsβ convention at Cedar Point, Ohio, featured a talk by J. F. Rutherford based on the scripture βThe kingdom of heaven is at hand.β You are his publicity agents. Therefore advertise, advertise, advertise, the King and his kingdom.β Godβs Kingdom by Christ Jesus was brought to the fore, and that set off the great surge of Kingdom preaching that has included the judgments heralded by the sounding of all seven of the angelic trumpets. The trumpet blast of the seventh angel was reflected in highlights of the Bible Studentsβ convention in Detroit, Michigan, July 30-August 6, 1928. At that time 107 broadcasting stations were tied in to what The New York Times described as βthe most extensive and expensive radio hook-up in history.β
Revelation 10:3
(FM 1918) - The "Seven thunders" refers to the "Seven volumes of βSTUDIES IN THE SCRIPTURES'" - (pg 167)
(RC 2006) - When Jehovah audibly proclaimed his purpose to glorify his own name in the days of Jesusβ earthly ministry, to many it sounded like thunder. Therefore, it is reasonable to conclude that the βvoices of the seven thundersβ are Jehovahβs own expression of his purposes. The fact that there were βsevenβ thunders suggests the completeness of what John heard. - (pg 156-7)
Revelation 11:3
(FM 1918) - And I will give power unto My Two Witnesses. β 'The Lord refers to the Old and New Testament Scriptures, and faithfully they have borne their testimony to every nation." And they shall prophesy. β Teach. A thousand, two hundred and three score days. β 1260 years, from A. D. 539 to 1799. Clothed in sackcloth. β "Kept covered in dead languages." (pg 173)
(RC 2006) - These faithful anointed Christians needed the quality of endurance, for they had to prophesy βin sackcloth.βThe sackcloth worn by the two witnesses
