A list of puns related to "Renoβtahoe International Airport"
Hello everyone,
I have the privilege of visiting your city for business, I am flying in tomorrow and scheduled to depart via Southwest Airlines on Thanksgiving Eve @ 5PM. How screwed am I?
I only ask, because I know how bad Phoenix Sky Harbor is during holidays, but Reno has always felt way less crowded/busy the two other times I've been to your city. PHX stays pretty busy regardless of day or time.
Thanks everyone!
First time burner here so please excuse my stupid question:
I totally forgot to book my burner express ticket. Are there any other ways to get to Reno-Tahoe International Airport? Other bus lines maybe?
My plane leaves on Sunday at 6:30am. Thanks for your advice.
According to the reporting, the Reno-Tahoe airport serving Nevadaβs second-largest metro area faces a shortage of jet fuel that could force the cancellation of cargo and passenger fights, potentially restricting the flow of goods into the northern part of the state--right where GameStop is working to expand with the fulfillment center.
I imagine the demand for trucking is going to increase even more in the area, hopefully, the GameStop team has capacity for their efforts locked up already (or are in the process of getting what is needed).
The Reno airportβs shortage is caused in part by a scarcity of tanker truck drivers, Stacey Sunday, a spokeswoman for the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority:
>βThereβs just nobody available to drive the trucks of fuel in here,β and "itβs hard to predict long the shortage will last", Sunday said.
This further lines up with what we have been covering in transportation--the industry as a whole is a down the number of people needed to move materials. This demand isn't going away either. As the articles covered, primary demand in the western region is being driven by an urgent demand from firefighting aircraft. As we have talked about before, this is unfortunately likely going to get worse.
Thanks for dropping by, I hope everyone enjoyed the weekend and has a great week!
Trying to plan the trip for friends going to a wedding party and I've been told there's shuttles from reno Airport to a few places on the lake. Specifically, we're trying to get to the south y transit center at the bottom of the lake.
I'm on the tahoe transportation transit website and can't for the life of me figure out when the shuttles leave? Does anyone know where I can find this information so we can align flight times with shuttle times.
Thanks
In 2000, Star Palumbo, a 25 year old Tucson native living in Reno, NV went missing after being confronted by an airport police officer while hiding in a restricted area of the airport around midnight. The officer transported Star to the Reno Hilton, just a few blocks away from the airport. The next day, airport police reported finding Star's car parked illegally. Inside the car police found what appeared to be all of Star's belongings, including clothes and, notably, a drawing that is reported to depict Star having been bound and gagged. Many details of the case are either unknown or have not been released by law enforcement, as the case is still considered to be open by the Reno Police Department.
Star lived in Tucson with her family until 1999 when she moved to Reno to live with her grandmother. The reason why she moved is unknown except to family and investigators, but court records show that she had been convicted of several petty crimes. Star's friends in Reno told investigators that she had been working at a pawn shop. According to her friends, she had also become a user of drugs- namely methamphetamine, and the income from working at the pawn shop wasn't able to support her habit. Investigators believe that she may have turned to prostitution for extra income.
At an unknown time on April 25, 2000 Star is reported to have called her mother in an apparently manic state. Her mother told investigators that Star was paranoid, and said that she believed her phone was tapped and that she was being followed. Star also mentioned the possibility of moving back to Arizona sometime soon for a fresh start.
At midnight on April 26, 2000 a Reno/Tahoe Airport Police Officer was dispatched to a report of a female subject in what's only described as a "restricted area" of the airport. The officer contacted Star hiding behind a truck, presumably outside on the tarmac. Star told him that she was looking for her sister, who she said had run onto the tarmac. The officer stated that Star was behaving strangely, and he believed that she was hallucinating. The officer did not believe Star's story, but for an unknown reason chose to provide Star with a ride to the Reno Hilton Casino, now the Grand Sierra Resort, which is a hotel/casino located only a few blocks away from the airport. Star was last seen entering the Casino at approximately 1:30am at the valet parking entrance. The hotel stated that it had no records of

Hi lovely people,
So looking forward to go on our 1st/2nd burn this year. We'd pickup our bikes and do some shopping near the city center of Reno. Is there any reservable taxi company or similar that provides bigger cabs in Reno that can carry us, our stuff (two heavy backpacks and probably a lot of food and beer) and the two bikes to the airport (going with burner express)?
Love from Vienna!
Edit: thanks u/spolsky and u/kiss-o-matic. Dzenkuje Barco and auto-xoxo to you.
Why Austin?
It would be nice to have more East Coast or flight to FL.
Inspired by another kind stonker, I decided to do what I can.
If you're looking nervously towards the holidays, please reach out to me.
I realized I have a lot of comps with Eldorado/Caesars properties and Hard Rock.
I've already talked to my hosts at those casinos and they're willing to help me spread some Christmas joy.
I can't cover everyone if there are a lot of you reaching out, but I can cover food for 4-5 family members per person.
I can take care of Christmas dinner/lunch for a total of 5 3 families from Hard Rock in Lake Tahoe off the menu at Alpine Union, or if only a couple reach out we can get them from Prime.
I can take care of a total of 4 2 from Harvey's or Harrah's Lake Tahoe.
I can take care of a total of 8 2 from Eldorado/Silver legacy.
I know this is a long shot, since these are smaller areas.
This doesn't have to be today or tomorrow.
I can do it until midnight on the 31st.
If you've got family in need PM me.
I just will need a first name/last initial to give my host and the number of dinners.
No pictures, no bullshit, we will keep it anonymous.
You don't have to tell your family anything outside of you picking up food.
Edit: Updating remaining meals. I got a few takers. I'll update this again if they don't show to claim them.
Edit 2: I've only got 3 people reach out about Hard Rock, so we're getting food from Park Prime. I still have a couple left in Reno and Tahoe though, so keep reaching out. If I have any no shows I'll update again.
I've been following CalTrans district 3 on Twitter consistently and reading all the incidents really puts into perspective how bad it is out there at the moment.
Hi there
Hi All,
Will be getting in close to showtime to Reno airport. Renting a car and hoping to defray cost by giving other's a ride (assuming I'm not the only idiot to arrive at 545pm). Let me know, planning on going straight to show no stopping, can lock luggage in trunk.
