A list of puns related to "Renoβsparks Metropolitan Area"
Currently still recovering from Thanksgiving coma/hangover and got the weirdest hankering for a bowl of tortellini soup. Does anyone know of a place in Reno/Sparks that offers it?
Recently moved to Reno and looking for fast guys to ride with.
Thanks!
Going to visit my mom in Reno this weekend and was wondering about being able to find cards at retail in the area. I'm coming from the bay area, where if your not at Target at 5am, your getting nothing. Hoping it's a little better over there. Gonna hit up Walmart and Target and try my luck. Any local advice?
I want to go exploring with some friends and am hoping reddit can give me some ideas.
Is anyone familiar with any areas outside of city limits that are easy to access and legal for discharging of fire arms. I have been wanting to go clay pigeon shooting, but haven't done it in a long time so am unsure of where to go.
I've been looking at reviews on Yelp and Google, but I figured I'd ask here as well.
I'm looking for an honest, knowledgeable vet that's not going to upcharge me, and also frequently has availability in case I need to make an appointment or drop in.
I saw a lot of reviews of places saying there's no availability for months in advance, or the vet was dishonest and upcharging them unnecessarily. I know reviews are anecdotal, but I'd still like to get as many opinions as possible before making an informed decision!
I'm leaning towards VCA Feline Medical Center in Caughlin Ranch. Is there a reason I should avoid this place? It seems to have the best reviews I've seen overall.
Thanks in advance! :)
Whatsup guys, Im a real life superhero (go by the name BuzzKill) and am looking to mix it up and protect the community. Any other superheroes around here, perhaps we could team up.
Also are there any high drug traffic neighborhoods with open air selling where I could beat up the dealers and run them off? Similar note any alleys or back of warehouses that have a lot of rapes and muggings I could hang out at and wait to snap necks?
Im also considering enforcing social distancing and home quarantine. So if you see a superhero standing around a high drug traffic or brutal rape are dont get near me or youll receive a Judo throw onto the pavement and a tongue lashing.
Thanks for any input and PM me if youre also a superhero. If you are also a supervillain, drug dealer, or rapist watch out cause youre about to get a Buzzkill.
Title is what we need.
In all honesty with how crazy things can change in a minute these days. The difference between people in the USA is staggering.
Looking for a watermelon peperomia or Hoya Hindu rope in the greater Reno area. I see a lot online but with current sub-freezing overnight temps, Iβm not willing to tempt fate. Call me crazy, but Iβm willing to drive up to an hour from the N Reno area. Thanks in advance!
So I was sick of trying to read the map that Washoe County actually put out, so I used the overlay stuff on Google maps to create a more friendly version. It's not perfect, it's not exact, but it's really really close. You should always reference the original map. There are some areas out towards the East that I left off completely, my focus was more on the Reno/Sparks Area the actual "Warm Springs Defined Area".
Before someone says, "But they already have a 'live map'. Yes, they do and it sucks. This actually works with the Google Maps application. You could actually drive and check and see where you are on the map. This is better. I promise.

Just got outdoor wheels a few days ago and I'm looking for a nice place to skate.
I have been thinking posting this for months. I play drums. I want to see if there is anyone/anywhere I can be around some people who love music and also play. Maybe open mic nights. I could also be interested in play an electronic DJ or hip hop artists or anything really. My setup is super portable easy to move.
I am going through a lot in my life and I really need out. I have 3 kids that are the world to me but outside of them I am extremely solitary. I am going through a relationship separation. I need out.
A little about myself, I bought my first drum set in high school. It was a full Roland electronic drum set. Metallica was the band to really start to get me passionate about music. Than came bands like Korn, Pantera, Slipknot, Nine Inch Nails, A Perfect Circle the list could go on and on. Shortly out of high school I worked for a local music store for a short while. I got to be around punk, electronic, rap and black metal and other genres from other coworkers playing music over the store speakers. I got to hear artists/bands like Deltron 3030, AFI, BT, Opeth, Meshuggah, Peter Gabriel, Dream Theater. It was a great place to hear music. This was almost 20 years ago.
My tastes are still all over the spectrum of music. I am a fan of any music that has the right emotion. I love rap, pop, electronic. I now mostly play an electronic hand drum called a βRoland Handsonicβ. i am a walking wiki database of musical knowledge about artists. I could write pages and pages about my passion for music over the years but I will keep this not long.
I am a bit uncomfortable posting this but here it goes. I have some YouTube videos of me playing drums but I donβt feel like posting them up so publicly blindly. I could always pm a link of me playing. Anyone/anything out there that you can suggest?
Looking for a hairstylist to get dread extensions incorporated into my own hair, it's currently blonde and I want to keep my bangs wispy! Thank you loves β‘
I am moving from Boston to the Reno/Sparks area and will be looking for an apartment. I was just wondering if there are certain neighborhoods to avoid and what does the average studio apartment cost?
Looking for a good sit down place with a good atmosphere and tasty food. So, Reno, what is your favorite spot for casual dining?
So far I've had Ijji (not very impressed) and Tha Joint (pretty good). Any other recommendations? I'm a sucker for AYCE.
What exactly does poor condition mean? Pot holes big enough to fit a tire and launch you from your seat? Or just a plethora of cracks filled with tar?
Also, any riding groups out there who do weekend routes? Track days?
Thanks in advance, looking forward to being your neighbor
Help me out. Had an amazing one at a catered work breakfast so someone in Reno makes great scones. Not the dried out heavy bread bricks but moist and delicious.
I guess it makes sense that the Jazz would be the last team remaining. They play in the least-populated city in the NBA, so they must be more well-protected.
According to this site, the most populated NBA metropolitan areas in order are:
University of Nevada student here. Working on a project that requires some custom machined aluminum parts and more. The university has some of the equipment I need to make some of the parts, but for others I'll have to look around town. Wanted to see if anyone on here has recommendations for any shops in town?
Specifically looking for shops with 5-axis CNC machining capabilities for parts approx 200mm^3 (~8" cubed) and laser/plasma cutting sheets of steel, aluminum and acrylic approx. up to 20mm (~0.75") thick at a size of up to 900mm x 900mm (~36" x 36").
Thanks in advance if anyone has any recommendations! Being a student and this project mainly being funded out of my own pocket, cost is definitely a big factor, both for materials and labor.
Also, if anyone knows of a good source for sheets of acrylic in town with a wide selection in-stock, I'm also in need of some vendors there.
For everyone with Christmas trees, please consider recycling it. Your tree would end up as wood mulch that can be used for a ton for stuff instead of the tree ending in the land fill or BLM land.
As a big RT fan, I've always been a little bummed out that I don't really see many fans outside of RTX each year. Once every few months, I'll come across a fan or two, but not much more than that. Today, I came across a fellow fan who recognized my Barbara fox shirt, which was particularly suprising because it's kind of a stealth RT shirt.
So if you're a fan in the Reno-Sparks area, let it be known here. Let's do a fan meet-up or just chat online. Let's talk RTX or the newest AH video. I want to see how much of an RT community this city has!
Edit: Bonus points to any Kinda Funny Best Friends out here too!
Thoughts on best sushi places in town? Are the casino restaurants any good?
Iβm a little worried about getting home sick and have never visited Colorado before. Iβve been researching online and havenβt found many answers so I thought Iβd ask some locals. What are the best places to eat? Are there certain asian neighborhoods (ie. koreatown, little tokyo, thai town, etc) or would this be more of a thing in Denver? Thanks in advance!
Anyone know of indoor or outdoor salt water pools in Reno/Sparks? Public or membership only is fine. New to the area & my husband loves to swim, but has a chlorine allergy. Thanks!
always thankful that I live here...and not over on the other side of the mountains to the west. People are still nicer here. despite the outliers. Driving is still better, despite the outliers. Gas is definitely cheap-err, thats for sure. So, thank you all (Native Nevadans or not) for making the effort to make our state likeable.
Now, gobble up some more turkey!
