I’m not really complaining, but it just feels a bit off to call this an expansion. When the only thing different about this one from old dlcs is that it’s drip fed instead of all right there.

Does anyone else feel this way?

Like the title says, my memory sucks. So I've developed this technique to help me keep track of what I'm reading: whevener I stop reading, I'll "take a picture" of the moment of the book I'm at. Then a few times a day, like as soon as I get out of bed; while I'm having some coffee at work; having a shower; driving my bike...I'll force myself to remember this photograph again.

It's been really helpful :-) by the time I get back to my book at the end of the day, my mind is still up-to-date with the story, and sometimes it even seems I didn't stop reading at all between the day before and now! Great feeling when this happens.

I'm reading "Dracula" now, and last night I stopped in a part were Mina finally receives some news from Jonathan. So I keep thinking of her smile, of how happy she was, when she heard of him after so many weeks without news.

I had been awaiting this announcement for months hoping we'd finally get the updated platform for the STI. Lo and behold, the 2020 models were announced yesterday and no one on this subreddit even bothered to make a thread about it. Can't blame anyone though, the news is pretty disappointing.

Anyone have any ideas? It was working earlier. Now it does not. I have tried reinstalling the app multiple times.

• All Yr1 guns now with random rolls and Yr1 armor set per Faction
• 6 new guns and 1 armor set for IB
• Swap out current Gunsmith guns for all unused Yr1 weapons now with random rolls (Old Fashioned anyone?)
• 3 pinnacle guns
• Make all Leviathan guns drop with random rolls
• Make all NF exclusives drop with random rolls
• Swap out all of the non-Calus guns in Menagerie for different ones to farm
• Make all planetary vendors (Failsafe, Asher, etc...) drop random rolled versions of Yr1 weapons

I don't need another matchmade activity or new crucible modes. No new strikes or Nightfall difficulties or Nightmare Hunts. Please assign more manpower to a vendor refresh.

EDIT: I don't care if the "new" guns are Yr1 refreshes or not. Take out Main Ingredient from Zavala's pool and add in a random rolled Origin Story in its place. I want loot pools refreshed as in swapping out the current lot for different ones. Don't delute them further. Reskin the awesome Green and Blue weapons, I don't care. I'm sure designing brand new weapons from the ground up is a lot of work but they don't need to do that. We have a TON of stuff from Yr1 just wasting away in Collections. I'm just tired of getting Play of the Games from Shaxx.

In one of the Directors Cut posts, Luke Smith mentioned that seasonal activities and their loot will be removed from the game at the end of their seasons going forward, and the loot would later be repurposed. Right now, one of the biggest problems with Destiny is a lack of loot in core modes. Nobody is grinding strikes for the vanguard weapons, or still looking for that god rolled Anonymous Autumn. Even worse than this are Ikora and the faction vendors, who are completely empty. Instead of removing loot from the game once a season ends, we should use that loot to make some of these vendors and core activities relevant again.

Imagine if, after SoO ended, menagerie was removed from the game. We wouldn’t want all of those guns and armor sets to just disappear. Instead, that loot should be placed wherever it makes sense. For example, with menagerie, the leftover loot could go to the various destinations, seeing as many of the guns come from there. Black Armory weapons could move to the gunsmith, giving us a vendor refresh and making him relevant again. Reckoning weapons could move to normal Gambit if Reckoning had to be removed.

There is no reason to remove loot from the game when lack of loot is a big problem and the reason that the game has that “a mile wide but an inch deep” feel.

Edit to clarify a few things:

I don’t dislike the idea of unique, timegated loot. I just feel like timegated loot should be icing on the cake, not the whole game. When the entire core game feels lacking in loot, timegated loot seems stupid and unsustainable from a development perspective, especially when bungie says that the annual pass was hard on bungie employees.

I guess what I proposed is similar to what Luke Smith outlined in the Directors Cut posts. I just hope it isn’t a trials/faction rally situation where “temporarily removed” lasts much longer than we anticipated. A couple seasons is a LONG time in destiny, although it seems short in retrospect.

It's PTR so of course things can change and it could be just for testing but this would be HUGE for goldmaking if it makes it live!

Along with the fact expires and cancels of mats that were listed together get bundled into the same mail up to 9999 of a mat at a time this will make reposting many times faster.

And if you haven't yet check out the PTR AH and report anything not working right, it's looking really great and I can't wait to see it live. I'm expecting a lot more people to get into AHing once it's live.

This might have to do with me being a very frame rate sensitive person like Norm from tested, and possibly improvements to the 144hz mode stability now that its out of Beta, but one thing I do know is playing at 144hz is what I imagine VR 2.0 would "feel" like and I am just happy I have the hardware to experience this now across the board on all the games I play, some needed to drop SS to 100%, some still killing it at upwards of 140% its incredible really (I haven't needed to drop SS below 100% for every single game, a lack of compromise I am pleasantly surprised by) and just like when I upgraded to a 144hz monitor months ago, I can never go back now, its 144 or up and that's it.

I just can't unsee it and I imagine the few people out there that have the hardware to utilize this refresh while maintaining good image clarity and also are as frame rate sensitive as me. I just want to let you know, I get it now. As norm said I would liken it to being groggy at around 80/90hz but 144 seems like where the boundary between reality and virtual reality is completely shattered and all of a sudden I feel like I downed two cans of coke, even a few rounds of Pavlov had me feeling so aware and responsive and one with the world. Its a hard feeling to describe even harder to convey in VR, but glad I have joined the 144 club.

Seeing how well my rig has ate up and spat out every SteamVR game I threw at it (Vader immortal as well), I am looking forward to doing the same for Boneworks and Alyx. I won't drop below 144 again unless I absolutely have to for some unknown reason

Just a minor gripe, but as it stands, Heart of Inmost Light (the titan chestpiece) essentially gives you a buff called "Empowered" whenever you use any ability. This is the buff that increases the potency of abilities and also increases the regeneration rate of said abilities, which is why it lets sticky nades one shot, for example.

The main problem with it right now is that it can't refresh its buff until the timer on your current buff runs out. If you could refresh the timer while the buff was still active, you could do stuff like have a high discipline/resil build, pop a shield, throw a nade to refresh the buff, and by the time that buff is almost out, you'll have had your shield back up to pop to refresh the buff, so if you played your cards right you could have a lot of ability uptime. As of now, you can't do that and it really hurts the exotic into "meh" territory

I'm a teacher considering getting a Pro 12.9 (128 or 256, probably 256); i am looking at this for Notes, in-class things, and for making/editing videos to help my kids (they're really bad, stupid videos, but they're aimed at middle schoolers).

I would prefer sooner than later on getting this, so that brings me to this question (well, two):

1. Should I wait for the refresh (presumably in March, though maybe not)?
2. Can I get by on 128GB? I have an Air 3rd Gen, which has 31gb of 64gb free.

Any assistance is appreciated. My Air is on a cell line, and I can upgrade that; I have considered getting just a Wifi Pro for now, then sell and upgrade the cell line when the new one comes out (this is just one avenue, and one I'm not fond of).

Seeing as some of the Mac side don’t often get yearly refreshes, how many Apple users would rather Apple switched to launching new iPhone’s every 24 months?

I really like Gambit and think that the Gambit Prime/Reckoning loot cycle will be really fun, but vendor refresh would give more purpose to strikes, crucible, etc. I am not expecting a vendor refresh for the last season of this annual pass, but if Bungie decides to do another annual pass model, I think that seasonal vendor refresh would add a lot of depth to grinding.

I grow tired of deleting edge transits, and I’m onto my 598th better devils. Most of the D1 armour looked better anyways.

Tinker won't be able to refresh tp scroll if the tp slot is empty, and is filled by the tp dug from the trusty shovel. Buying new ones won't solve it, the only solution is to use up all the tps and buy new ones.

When you have travels, you need to drag down your boots and use it all, waiting 80 seconds each time.

I am getting tired of my arsenal looking like someone cobbled it up in his garage, or scrounged it from a scrapyard. Can we have more of vanilla D1 or D2 style weapons, please? Armament ornamentation has overstayed its welcome, I feel.
