A list of puns related to "Redfern Now"

In conjunction with the mods of /r/detroitlions we are proud to announce the latest episode of this subreddit's one and only, official podcast!
In this episode of the Detroit Lions Podcast, Chris and Case break down the latest news and information from Reddit, dig deep with Jeff 'The Riz' Risdon, and best of all, we interview current Lions punter (and soon to be NFL superstar) Kasey Redfern.
This week in Reddit is smokin'. We start out with the biggest Lions news of the year so far, Matthew Stafford's wicked new contract. We are joined by DetroitLionsPodcast.com's own Ash Thompson (our resident capologist) to dig into the numbers and what they mean for the team. We also provide our take on the Patriots game, a quick injury report, and have a good discussion about the exposure of Jarrad Davis and how he will grow as a result.
Of course, Case takes us through his world famous, 'Around The Division' segment where we get a good look at what's happening with the Lions competition in the NFC North.
We are joined by Lions Punter, Kasey Redfern, on the show for an interview. Talk about a guy who can get you to root for him, he has it all. We talk about his path into the NFL from playing goal keeper in club level soccer to high school and college punter, through the NFL draft and some of its pitfalls, and we end up total fans. What an amazing guy, what an amazing story. I think Lions fans can be united in their belief that Kasey is an NFL-level talent and will end up playing on an NFL team this year. Certainly after this interview, they will be rooting for him to do so.
Lastly, we are joined by Jeff, "The Riz" Risdon to talk about the hottest Lions topics in a segment that never disappoints. You never want to miss out on "Risdon's Wisdom".

I love looking into the community and culture and my respect for them has grown since watching the show. I think its not only a significant show for Australia but a great piece of TV.
But I am curious as to what Australia thinks about the show and its exposure to Koori culture.
Hello from Cleveland, OH, USA!
I'm watching Redfern Now on Netflix. In the second episode, the lead character, Coral, refers to the kid who runs her over (whom she knows) as a (pardon the awful language) "black bastard". What ancestry is she referring to in this context?

I met with Human Senor Chief Mike Grey. It was a small valley with shrubs and a slight water creak. I was to meet this human at the designated location. My porter and I waited next to our ship; time seemed to slowly pass by.

The human has not arrived.
Local wildlife passed nearby some kind of sizeable mammalian herbivore.

As I was about to tell my porter to pack up my gear, he let out a small yelp.
Porter: Sir, the Human, I found him.
Herclain: Where is he? We have been looking for this human for too long; they should have been here a while ago.
Porter: He is in your ship, my leader.
Herclain: What?
Grey: I have been here the whole time. You just could not see me.
This human was old and not very large but seemed to be steel wire. His eyes screamed that he was the predator of this land.
Grey: You were to bring the minimum of gear. What is all this? Why are there two of you?
Herclain: This is the minimum gear fit for my rank, and this is my porter.
Grey: Well, I guess two is better than one. Actually, it may be better. Porter what is your name?
Herclain: That is not needed.
Grey: I did not ask you.
Porter: Grazzille, I am a Torrien. We are porters and janitorial staff.
Grey: Excellent, I will have to admit that Murphy will love you. Do not worry. She will not hurt you but may get a little friendly. Very well, you two get inside. This way.
The human began walking into a grass field. I ha

First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
She looked just like my mother.
That's what I thought when I saw her crouching in the gutter, vomiting God-knows-what into the road. The streetlights illuminated a gaunt figure with stringy blonde hair, pale skin and a huge patchwork cardigan. My mother had been a kindergarten teacher before cancer took her. She always wore bright, soft clothing like that, even on her days off.
I donβt usually approach homeless people. Maybe that makes me a bad person, but you hear all these scams about people begging then getting into a brand-new Mercedes when the night falls. Or wasting their money on booze and drugs. My mother would never have done any of those things. I think thatβs why I approached her.
βMaβam? Are you okay?β was the most stupid question I couldβve asked, but I went with it anyway. Up close, she looked a bit less like my mother. Her green eyes were darker, and she had a thin, pale scar stretching from the top of her eyebrow to the beginnings of her hairline.
βDo I look okay to you?β is something my mother would definitely have said back. My face reddened. The woman - not my mother, I tried to remember - wiped her mouth on her sleeve, as though I wasnβt there.
βWell, should I take you to see a doctorβ¦?β Up close, she looked about as exhausted and miserable as any person I have ever seen. The bags under her eyes were heavy and dark. When she belched, I saw a couple of teeth were missing.
βIβd rather have a roof over my head. These nights are cold, you know.β She stopped and gave me a long once-over. I was wearing a thick fleece jacket, gloves, a scarf knitted by my best friend. My arms were laden with gifts bought for the festive season. My face turned even redder. I felt like a glutton under the gaze of this woman who Iβd only just met.
The woman stood up and stepped closer. This close, she reeked of unwashedness and a stale something I couldnβt place. But there was something else underneath. Lavender. Beneath the dirt, she had the exact same scent as my motherβs old lavender perfume.
βPoppy Poppet, have you got a place for me to stay?β Her whisper was hoarse but kind.
Poppy Poppet. I hadnβt heard that nickname since the day my mother died.

I set her up in the guest room, making sure the nicest sheets were on the bed. Itβs a small room, but cosy enough with room for the odd bits and bobs the woman had brought with her. Somehow, I hadnβt noticed her bag at first. It was huge, more like Santaβs sack than anything. It contained blanke

I've witnessed things getting hacked instantaneously, mainly news articles that support my theories. I almost always copy and paste quotes from articles that I post, but here lately I've gone back and other information in the article has been changed to discredit my quote, often what they change contrast with the actual title of the article. The first move the Nazis made was to discredit the media and control information.
When the internet first arrived I felt like we had reached a new golden age of enlightenment, all the world's information would be at everyone's fingertips, but instead it's being used to spread propaganda and mislead people. We are headed for a coup, the white man knows his reign is over if we stick to fair and honest elections so they are doing everything they can to restrict voter rights and mislead people to maintain their current slave and master economy.
Everyone knows the modern wage system was formed off the lessons learned from slavery. If they pay just enough to scrape by, often needing assistance from the government, while telling people in that situation its their own fault people will never rise above the slave station in life. All jobs are vital to our economy and there is no reason that one person should not be paid enough to live without having to turn to crime or government handouts.
I believe a lot of perps are drug into gangstalking by being tricked as to the nature of its legality, sort of like if the mafia recorded you killing somebody then they could use that against you to keep you in their clutches. Or a better example would be like when Marty Byrd on the show Ozark had the Langamore girl make a deposit,, she didn't know it was illegal,, but he got her on tape by the banks cameras. Many gangstalkers probably do not want to be involved they are just drug into it.
I was told by a guy who seemed to be following me that in the early days of gangstalking it was a choice but now they're dragging anybody and everybody into it, I believe this is to support their coup. They don't care about the Constitution or basic human rights, that's why I'm trying to start a local chapter of Amnesty International. I'm not going to try to dominate the conversation within this chapter, I will suggest some issues just like every other volunteer, this is because: A. Everyone's issue is relevant to maintaining a fair and stable society and B. a person's gangstalki

Sunday morning, February 2, 1986, Anita got a call while she was getting ready for work from her husband asking if he should pick her up after work. She was working as a nurse in the surgical ward at Sydney Hospital until 3 pm that day but she refused and said she had made plans with her friends and planned on sleeping at her parentsβ home. Little did they know, that would have been the last time they ever spoke to each other.
Anita and her 2 friends, Annette βLynβ Bradshaw and Elaine Bray went to Redfern Restaurant that evening and had an amazing time. Around 8:30 pm that evening, Elaine who lived in Crows Nest offered Anita to stay at her place that night but Anita said no because she wanted to sleep in since her shift started at 1:30 pm the next day. Lyn then drove Anita to the Central Railway Station and boarded the train to Blacktown.
By the time Anita had arrived at Blacktown Railway Station, it was late, usually, she would call her father to pick her up but unfortunately, the payphones were vandalized and there was no available taxi. Anitaβs home was around 2 km away which would be around a 30 min walk. Anita didnβt think much of it and decided to walk home through the town she was so familiar with.
Now before we get into what happened that night, letβs talk about Anita Cobby. According to her friends, she was gorgeous, kind, and full of life. She regularly participated in beauty pageants, and she had won the Miss Western Suburbs beauty pageant in 1979. After graduating high school Anita followed her motherβs footsteps and decided to enroll in nursing school. During her training, she met John who also was a fellow nurse. They fell in love and decided to get married.
According to John, when he saw Anita, it was love at first sight. He was dating another girl during the time he met Anita and apparently, he had strong feelings for her, but he couldnβt help the strong attraction he had for Anita. One day Anita passed by John in the hallway and struck up a conversation with him. They clicked right away and became inseparable. He was single now and asked Anita out on a date.
For their first date, they went to a restaurant and talked for hours. They loved the food there and the atmosphere of the restau

This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.
