I'd always heard/read about stories. Never once did I think I would be victimized in such a way. I'm really sharing this in the hopes that I can just release it to Reddit and never feel have to remember it....yea right.
So this happened last night. I was at my friend's birthday party which was going great. There was alcohol involved and I'd been steadily drinking throughout the evening. I came with a custom-made Irish liver (it's funny cause I don't have a sliver of Irish in me), so I can't even blame this on the alcohol. As people began to leave the remainders settled down to play some card games. We played 'That's What She said' - highly recommend. Towards the end of the game we made a toast to the losers. I picked up the fateful red solo cup and happily toasted. Then I drank from it. Mind you before I did this I looked into the cup. It looked like my drink and there were some bubbles in it but I assumed they were from the cups colliding. As the 'drink' entered my mouth the consistency was not fully liquid and my hand immediately cupped over my mouth as my brain tried to process how the lunch I had been drinking became so viscous so quickly. No solution. It was at that moment the guy sitting next to me noticed my face and actions. His brain was able to process faster than mine on account of not having internal screaming. His eyes got wide and he said did you drink from "Bron's" spit cup, tell me you didn't! I temporarily died. Rushed to the bathroom in an attempt to cough up at least 4 inches of esophagus. I then went to the kitchen for a 5 second swig of vodka to burn any and all taste buds. We all laughed about it as I'm usually the victim of these situations. My advice, always make sure your name is on your cup lest you fall victim to the red solo cup.
TL;DR I was at a party and after a toast didn't pay attention to the cup I was using and drank from someone's spit cup they had left on the table. Help

Had anything else ever heard of this.? I saw it on one of those clickbait and I went thru SOOO many pages and still never saw the answer to this"tip' any ideas?'
Seriously wtf? Not from the states and only seen these cups in movies and thought noone actually used them or if they did only for parties. Even the "rich" people are sitting at the table eating a nice dinner with red solo cups. Do they not have actual cups or glasses? Is this normal to not use cups or glasses and drink out of plastic? What happens to the solo cups, do they wash and reuse them or throw them away? Do people actually use solo cups or is TLC sponsored or something? I'm really confused why people are choosing to drink from solo cups instead of actual cups.
