And today I have a 1962 New Zealand Health FDC for you. More birds. The blue stamp depicts the Kakariki (Red-crowned Parakeet). The orange stamp depicts the Tieke (Saddleback). The cachet shows a bunch of happy smiling children.

My red crowned parakeet obsesses over mirrors and other reflective objects. Help!
I got the little guy little over half a year ago (he's also about that age);
The problem is that he became infatuated with his own reflection which seriously stunted the bonding process. Whenever I get him out of the cage first thing he does is fly away to the closest reflective surface and ignores my presence all together.
Not to mention I f*cked up on my part not too long ago and I'm afraid I destroyed the little bond we had when I tried to forcefully pet him. I'm sure the resentment he now has also worsened the obsessiveness.
What can I do?

I notice red spots on my parakeets head. I've only had him and the other for a month the other has no spots or anything. I've checked them the last few days but it still there and only on his head. Does this look like mite bites? I saw someone say it could just be dye from his wooden chew toy.
