A list of puns related to "Razer Blade"
So I have been in search of a gaming laptop that would be able to play games well, and also double as a laptop for university I bought some other brands that are praised and all of them had some major issue.
These are the laptops I've purchased but had to return:
I wanted to also try out the Lenovo Legion 5 Pro but that is unavailable literally everywhere, and I'm not a big fan of the design of that laptop. MSI has the same issue of being very hard to find.
I purchased a Razer Blade 14 first before returning it, thinking that I could find something that is equal but for a lesser price. After testing out different laptops that I was able to find and buy, I've come to the conclusion that nothing beats a Razer when it comes to the features, and usability of the laptop. The keyboard feels better than any other laptop I've used, lighting is great, look and feel is quality, performance is top notch, speakers are good, and software was surprisingly good compared to others.
The only other laptops that come close in quality is MacBooks which are great for everything but playing games, and being able to plug in devices without dongles.
TL;DR: Despite battery bloat issues, other laptop brands have issues that make simple everyday usage a pain.
I've watched several YouTube videos from your popular gaming laptop channels and have read some short articles going over the changes for Razer Blade laptops for 2022; and none of them are at all complete. So I've rewatched the all the CES coverage videos and dug a little deeper to get a more clear picture of what to expect from these laptops. We all know about the 12th gen Intel chips and the addition of the Ti series 30 series gpu's from Nvidia.
What I've gathered from my research:
Razer Blade 15:
*Keyboard: snappier switches (no more mushy feel?) and larger keys
*Cooling Upgrade: Vapor chamber has more liquid for more thermal capacity. Fans have been redesigned with higher performing (and more efficient) blade design. Rubber Feet below the chassis has been moved and split to allow better air intake with the addition of more vents
*1080p camera
*New GaN charging brick (230W for 15, 280W for 17)
*New 2yr warranty on batteries
Razer Blade 17:
*All updates above with the addition of:
*8 THX Certified Speakers (up from the previous 4), with a new up & down firing speaker design
*New Speaker grill design (unknown if this will effect sound quality)
*Larger 84 Wh Battery (if this is important to anyone)
As additional notes, the power supply provided with the Blade 17 is 280W, while the the Blade 15 gets a 230W. This gives us an idea of the TGP difference the 15 and 17 models have.
What I'm particularly interested in finding out, is if the screens will still have the sub-par peak brightness of 315'ish nits? I hope not! What are your guys thoughts of the full suite of modifications and changes this year for the Blades?
Reading reviews online it seems like every Razer Blade laptop eventually succumbs to battery bloat. Looking for evidence of the contrary. Does anyone have a Blade that they have used on a regular basis and that hasnβt bloated after 2 or more years?
I have a 2011 MacBook Air that is long overdue for an upgrade. I want to be able to play my pc game library on the go while still having the portability Im used to with my Mac. Looked around and decided to go with Razer but after seeing the amount of widespread battery and general quality issues, are older Razer blades any better?
Would like to go with a late 2016 or 2017 model at the moment but figured I should ask the community. I'd plan to use the device for at least 5 years minimum (probably longer frankly)
Edit: I can pick one up for 400 usd, Which even IF it only lasts 5 years is INCREDIBLY better value than a new razerblade even if I don't have any issues and get 10 years out of it (even though those odds frankly aren't in my favour) Also, before telling me to buy a new blade and cross my fingers, the new blades have so many quality issues and I'm far better off getting a MacBook since it will never go back to the apple store SINCE I WONT NEED TO GET REPAIRS (and with razer's pricing, an m1 max mbp seems like a way better deal). Also, idc what your stance on me not wanting a new blade is, ALL I WANT TO KNOW IS HOW THE BUILD QUALITY COMPARES TO THE NEW ONES
I recently pre-ordered the Razer Blade 14, which is a laptop that I've been looking at for a while. Honestly one of the reasons that I jumped on it now was a promo that came up on Razer.com.
The language used in the banner seems to imply that upon qualifying preorder, I would receive a "gift" of the exclusive DeathAdder V2 X. This is made even more clear on the next page.
The "(worth $79.99)" clarification seemingly supports my understanding of a ~$80 gift on purchase of a ~$2300 laptop.
I decided to jump on the opportunity and pre-order the Razer Blade 14. I did not receive any mention of the mouse in the confirmation email, and I decided to reach out to support to confirm my eligibility.
Am I alone in not understanding how this is made clear? It seems obvious to me that the mouse is a bonus included with a preorder purchase. I don't even care that much about the mouse it just seems weird and a sour introduction into the "Razer family".
Edit 1:
Only update I have gotten from Razer is that my preorder that was supposed to ship today has been delayed :)
I'll let you guys know what the support team says thanks for all the replies.
Edit 2:
The support team reached back out and confirmed that I am not going to receive a mouse. Cool.
Im looking at buying a razer blade, I found 2 pretty good deals for each which Ill link down below but Id like some help deciding between both.

My wifeβs blade 15 1660 has been pretty bad. Persistent fan issues from synapse locking them at 2000rpm+, consistent sound issues with certain types of headphones, etc.

So Razer have announced their 2022 line along with their hefty price tags. What's the consensus on this new lineup?
Personally I think the decision to stick with a 16:9 display is a bit disappointing, but I can understand why they have kept it that way, likely keeping 16:10 for their more productivity-focused Razer Book line.
Judging by what you've seen, would you consider this year a worthy upgrade over the 2021 line? Or would you recommend potential buyers look for discounted 2021 models.
Cheers!
Been on the fence between these laptops for the last few days.

Just looking for a laptop that I can game once in a while and mostly do productivity on. I been traveling between two cities a lot and I can't carry my desktop with a RTX 2070 all the time. The most intensive games I play are Genshin/Valorant/Fortnite so I don't play anything too crazy. Any thoughts or suggestions?
I don't know if this has been posted already so just in case, Razer has made available a firmware update for several Razer Blade models.
You can find the link here:
On a side note, I still believe that Razer should make this available via Synapse. I came across this link yesterday after looking for an update for my Basilisk Ultimate as I was having some weird issues.
By the way you can find the page with the latest firmware for Razer peripherals here:
Hi all, I'm selling this open box, new EVGA RTX 3080 FTW3 Ultra 12GB (model number is 12G-P5-4877-KL). Unfortunately the box is no longer sealed because I didnβt put it up high enough and my 3 year old opened itβ¦ (he loves fans and anything that spins). I haven't powered it on, so it's still brand new.
This is the newest revision and has 3% more CUDA cores and 2GB more VRAM than the regular 3080 10GB. In terms of performance, itβs better than a regular 3080 and slightly less so than a 3080 Ti. It is an LHR card.
I have not registered it with EVGA. I can provide receipts to allow you to register it and potentially do the EVGA Step Up program if youβd like. Looks like Step Up is a no go due to new requirements. The warranty will still transfer though.
I'm looking for $1600 total (including shipping, insurance, PayPal fees, etc.). Sold to u/WNer for asking price

Also, it's a long shot, but I'd also be willing to trade for a 2021 Razer Blade 15 laptop. I'm looking for one with an RTX 3070 or 3080, a QHD 165hz screen, and a 10th gen Intel CPU (i7 or i9).

Went out for dinner came back to my laptop disconnected from wifi. When I opened the networks tab I couldnt find a single network. I did every step that Razer told me to do including uninstalling the drivers which I now know was a mistake. Im wondering what I should do at this point since they want me to send the laptop to them and I need it for school. Est time for repair was 2 weeks according to them along with fees.
I was thinking of buying razer blade 14 then i saw saw old threads on razer blade 15 lifespan most of them were saying that its lifespan is not good π.
I am about to get into bachelor computer science and I am looking forward to getting myself a new laptop. After doing the research, I think I will make a choice from Legion 5 or ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 or Razer Blade 5.
I do play AAA games in my free time, not heavily gaming but I have the need. Plus, I hope I can have my computer working smoothly and sensitively for the following 5 years. My dell inspiron 15 3578 do slow down on the 4th year; and a lot of battery issues.
I think most of the gaming laptops can have similar CPU and GPU and RAMon their specifications manual. So I have no clue if there would be any potential shortage. Would Lenovo and AUSU become very slow? Razer looks much more expensive? I guess I am lacking such experience. Please help. I have no idea which one to choose. Plus, and other suggestions are welcomed as well!
Thanks a lot!
I have a Blade 15 from the mid 2021 refresh with an i9-11900H and a 3080 GPU (4k screen). For the first few months things were fine (mediocre, 6-7 hours) in terms of battery life. But in the last 2 months or so, I've noticed horrible battery life (usually around 1-1.5 hours) because my GPU is constantly cycling high and low usage on idle. CPU is around 5-10% with nothing running. Afterburner is showing the GPU constantly cycling between about 400MHz to 1200MHz multiple times per second.
In task manager, "System" is taking up the 5-10% CPU and will say "GPU - 1 Copy" cycling at the same rate that the frequency cycles in Afterburner (and power usage will say either "High" or "Very high"). After a few searches, some people are saying this is normal but it most certainly is not. The laptop is hot, runs for an hour on battery, and is constantly running up my GPU at medium/high usage every second and I need help figuring out what is causing this. Thank you!
Edit: looks like it's ntoskrnl.exe. Still don't know why though...
Edit again: Afterburner is set to zero during this observation but I'll check to see if it's running in the background...but I'm certain it's not.

So.. Iβve got a MacBook Pro 2019, 16β i9, AMD 5500m 8GB, on which I do most of my work. Iβm running both macOS and Bootcamp/Windows 10 on it. Iβve recently managed to get everything up and running for gaming in Windows. It was kind of hacky, but after watching many youtube clips and reading lots of reddit threads I got it working. Everything works ok now, although the fans need to run at full blast at all times while gaming, and theyβre kind of loud. However, since my apps for work are all OS independent Iβm questioning my need for a mac at all. Itβs an old habit to use Macs, since the build quality of Mac laptops is, and has always been top notch, which make them good choices as PC laptops as well.
My question: If I were to replace my Macbook Pro with a 2021 or 2022 Razer Blade 15 Advanced instead, would I get disappointed when it comes to performance and fan noise, compared to what Iβve got now? Iβve heard the build quality of the Razers are up there with Apple, and Iβm willing to pay extra for that since I hate the plastic feel of most other PC laptops.
Anyone has the official razer blade wallpapers. I bought a razer blade advance but reformatted to do a clean install. The only wallpaper i find online or razer website is the vortex. But in slideview theres other 3 more variation of it. Would someone please share it

Happy New Year!
Hello,
I'm selling my Razer Blade 15 2020 with a 4k display, an RTX 2070, 32 gb ram, and 512 GB SSD for $1200. I purchased it about half a year ago and have decided to move on because I don't need the 4k display. I purchased it with 16 gb of ram, but have upgraded it to 32gb. There are almost no blemishes or scratches on the laptop surface.

This is the Amazon link for the laptop: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08D1H19G9/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1
It's currently on sale for $1618 before tax, but that model only has 16 gb of ram, whereas mine is upgraded to 32 gb. I also have the original box and the charger. Will take local cash or verified paypal + shipping. Thanks!
P.S. I have the invoice if you need proof I bought it only half a year ago.
