A list of puns related to "Ranks And Insignia Of Nato"
The citation is for LajerarquΓa military las Γ³rdenes militares mexica segΓΊn las fuentes primarias from "50 anΜos de estudios americanistas en la Universidad de Bonn : nuevas contribuciones a la arqueologiΜa, etnohistoria, etnolinguΜiΜstica y etnografiΜa de las AmeΜricas = 50 years Americanist studies at the University of Bonn"
I was doing some reading on Mexica military organization and ranks when I came across this line in Insignia of Rank while looking through what I could of it on Google Books in the free preview, and this flies in the face of pretty much every other source I had been looking at, including The Essential Codex Mendoza and the widely reccomended Aztec Warfare: Imperial Expansion and Political Control.
My recruiter never told me I had to know my general orders or the rank structure and insignia. I have the materials to study the general orders, but I canβt seem to find anything about the actual wording/phrasing of the rank structure/insignia.
I only know a couple, and I understand that it goes along the lines of,
βSir, E-1 in the Marine Corps is, Private! He has no rank or insignia, sir!β
βSir, E-2 in the Marine Corps is, Private First Class! He has one stripe up, sir!β
βSir, E-3 in the Marine Corps is, Lance Corporal! He has one stripe up, cross rifles in the center, sir!β
If anyone could help with the exact wording for all the ranks so I donβt screw up at boot camp, I would be indefinitely grateful. I ship out on August 20th.
Hey all,
So I have this weird obsession with military rank insignia's and it's always been an interesting hobby to either figure out what ranks individuals are based on their insignia (basing it off of a basic progression system i.e. more lines = higher ranks)
Anyway, in Season 3, I think we were all given a wonderful treat of seeing the UNN Battle Dress Uniform (Referred to as such on the wiki, don't want to get into an argument about uniform designations.) And we get to see the shoulder rank insignia's for the men and women of the UNN while operating on board a ship. One confusion I have is the different insignia's for two character's introduced who operate as Bridge Crew. On the wiki, they are both listed as "Lieutenant", however one is an XO and the other is not.

Now my thoughts were that the UNN based their shoulder rank insignia's off the sleeve insignia's of the US Navy, as seen in this example of Admiral Souther, who has a shoulder insignia that is just like the US Navy's Admiral sleeve rank:

The same is for Fleet Admiral Nguyα» n, but I added enough links for this long winded post.
Anyway, I made this post primarily as a discussion for UNN Rank Insignia's and whatnot. Cheers.
Using them for a discord of mine. Any help is appreciated!

Hi, I was just wondering do we know anything about the rank insignia in the Sith Eternal? I figured the names on the armbands would have been identical to the First Order until I saw this picture which shows an armband reading "Stel" and one letter I can't make out. Obviously whatever the word is it isn't Kaplan/Tarkin/Dillon/Power/Ro 8/Hal 4/FOSB though.
I don't own the Visual Dictionary and couldn't find anything online- has any information about this been released yet?
(Also, probably a stupid question- is the Final Order just the Sith Eternal + the First Order?)
Can someone please explain to me Governor Price's rank since her insignia is odd for a Governor and Admiral (later Commander) Brom Titus's rank insignia as well and his Black uniform? Since he wasn't an NCO or part of the Stormtrooper Corps.
I'm a soon to be Navy ROTC student so I've been spending a good deal of time trying to commit the Navy and Marine officer ranks and insignia to memory, and I find it odd how much the Captain's insignia is different to other officer's. What's the History behind it?

Just found out the pip/rank insignia for officers used by most regiments of the British Army is a Bath Star :
It's a simplified version of the insignia of the Order of the Bath, an order of chivalry. Does anyone know why this order was chosen in particular?
