A list of puns related to "Quebec Act"
I just spoke to the Office de la protection du consommateur about Cricut's changes and their "contract".
There are 2 articles that can help us agains their new policy :
11.2 - That stipulates that a company cannot unilaterally change a contract unless they clearly specify which element they want to be able to do so (which they do not, they just say everything). Even if they did, it is prohibited if it applies to an essential element of the contract.
So if you are in Quebec (and any other canadian provinces), I encourage you :

If they don't comply, you can file a small court claims. They probably won't reverse they're decision and "only" refund the machine you have but it's a start.

For one reason or another, the Quebec Act is never signed and passed through by Parliament. What happens if this is the case? Do the French in Quebec revolt?
Or are activists only interested in selling sick people their weed at a profit?
A person could donate up to 30 grams a day to as many people as they want. If numerous people did this they could be helping tons of sick people.
Hey /r/Canada, This is a relatively long rant so I'll share some info about myself first. I recently returned home from a my first year of university in Ontario, I chose to pay higher tuition because of a specific program not because the universities in Quebec are not good. I grew up in Montreal, and, though I am bilingual, english is the language I speak at home.
As an anglophone from Quebec, I feel as though I am in a special position, being able to understand the frustrations of being a minority in my province but also being a part of a majority in canada. I've noticed recently, living in Ontario, that Canadian new papers have been publishing more and more pieces that I would almost call xenophobic. ( eg. http://fullcomment.nationalpost.com/2012/05/14/todays-letters-majority-say-its-time-for-quebec-to-go/ )
But it's not just that. Personally I am against the strike, though my views are not very extreme on the subject. I understand the reactions from around the country, that they pay 3X as much tuition in Ontario. Trust me, I know, I go to school there too. The issue for me is not that students are protesting for the wrong reasons, the issue is the way that Canada uses this as "just another problem with Quebec".
For example, whenever Quebec comes up in a post on reddit, hardly anyone Canadian has anything good to say about it, focusing on language laws and saying we think we are better than everyone. It disappoints me that even the reddit community of Canada, on a site where open mindedness is encouraged, would be so closed minded to french Canadians. I understand that they are not the most welcoming to the rest of Canada at times, but I believe that both sides should try walking in each other's shoes for a bit.
The language laws, for example, are of corse a bit extreme but even as an anglophone, I appreciate that they preserve a culture that, historically, was seen as inferior by english Canada. If your culture was hated on consistently you'd think there would be some pent up anger towards your agressor. I'm not saying Quebec is innocent in this argument, they have their fair share of unnecessary hate towards english Canada. But who is to blame for this cycle? I believe that english Canada should take a step back and look at the way they are picking on a minority that has over the years built up defences against the unnecessary hatred coming towards them. Both cultures could stand down a little but english Canada, as the majority, should step ba
