A list of puns related to "Putt Putt Fun Center"
Had another one this morning that hit the flagstick dead middle and bounced a foot away. I was playing solo, so couldn't even pull the flag if I wanted to anyway. It was quick, but almost certainly would have dropped. Do you guys count them, or not?
The white suburban football dad in the lifted truck says to the woman riding her CB650R with an inline 4 135 mph top speed.
Seriously, as a female sport bike rider, the amount of times older men corner me to ask what my bike model is, and then talk about how "fun" my "little machine" is, is over the top.
All offense to Harley riders, you guys are the worst. My town has almost exclusively older Harley riders who think their 1200cc makes them of royal blood. They ALL say shit like this. And then they also say things like, "Oh it's nice to see women riding, I never see any!"
"Oh that's so weird, I wonder why?"
I've developed some one liners I want to use, but I haven't gotten quite *that* fed up with it yet. Here's my favorite:
"What model of bike you got there?"
"Ooh, let me see here" (checks the dash screen) "It says the model is original! Unlike you."
Getting told it's impressive that I know how to ride my bike properly too. It's as if they're completely blind to the idea that being sexist makes women less likely to ride bikes... Because going to an MSF course and getting harassed, getting harassed at *every* gas station, getting honked at, cat called, sneered at, etc... isn't very appealing to new women riders. Not to mention the judgement you get from other women. I automatically get assumed to be a lesbian when I tell people about my partner, and other women say things like, "well it isn't very ladylike", or they just stop on the sidewalk by your bike, lock eyes, look you up and down with their best judgy face on to make some kind of statement (Uh, guess I'm too hot? thanks?).
Just let me ride.
Anyone else want to complain with me?
UPDATE: Due to overwhelming feedback, this is shaping up to be a great proof of concept to roll out with a few Pardie Life Summer Series Tournaments in 2022 at a few different pitch and putts or Par 3 courses in late summer.
If you're interested please sign up at pardielife.com to be notified on the details as they begin to get ironed out.
Special thank you to those of you that reached out wanting to be a part of this, you're awesome, I'll get to your emails today I promise.
Pars + Birdies = Life also it sounds like Party.
Overview:
I've been asking my club to put a tiki bar on our par three course for the better part of the last decade.
They won't do it. So let's do it together instead.
Golf is all about being you and having a good time. Let's make it more lively.
Golf is growing up, it's time that we created courses that did the same.
Top Golf has taken off the last few years, so much so that Callaway bought them. Golf is on a tear in terms of growth, but we don't have enough small short courses to let people mess around with casually where the activity is more the company and the environment rather than playing the game.
We need more of a lifestyle focused alternative, one that is outside and let's you go for a stroll.
There's definitely space.
Inspired by what LinksDAO is attempting to do, I think we should be more inclusive and set up pitch and putts that are fun for all the adults, beginners and experienced players alike.
Less money, less environmental impact, more inclusion. No Membership needed.
Let's do it for the actual love of golf, not another private club for members, we don't really need more of those. There's probably a good amount of us on here that are already members of those.
But times have changed and are changing, we need something BETTER. MORE MODERN.
I've read a lot of posts recently from people that are huge fans of pitch and putts.
So let's organize.
Starting thoughts:
We don't need more 18 hole courses, there's more than most of us will ever play in our lives.
It's questionable if we even need more 9 hole courses.
I'm thinking 3-6 hole length courses with holes under 80 yards with replays, cornhole, bocce ball, and other activities. Maybe a putting course that goes around the outside.
Real pitch and putt style where it's all about the atmosphere and hanging out.
Sign a waiver, play barefoot if you'd like it's all good.
Want to wear a vizor, we re

I was aiming for above the middle of the pole and slightly to the right. It felt really good to focus on one spot and try to hit it. This morning I put the chains back on but I blindfolded myself and started to putt and just think about form.
*basketball is my first love & I have always enjoyed free throws. It is important to always have the same routine when you get to the line before you shoot. This is important to me when I putt to help me keep my elbow in and follow through.
After those two "drills" I tried some normal putts and was very focused and hitting.
Hope this helps someone! Have a great round, Cheers
