My neighbor was moving and didn’t wanna deal with his tank so he gave it to me for 300 bucks. Best 300 I’ve ever spent. Although it was leaky and required a new light and a new pump so, maybe I’m up to 900 bucks on this one.
LPT: If your heat pump is not keeping up this winter, check your heat return line. Re-insulating it could give you immediate improvements in heating your house.
My heat pump would always struggle when it gets below 30. When I set the thermostat to 73, it would run non-stop and never get above 64. I tried a couple of things like checking for/sealing leaks at the doors and windows but it was still struggling. Then I went outside and saw that the decayed insulation on my heat return line which left exposed copper piping to the cold air. The entire bottom half of the pipe was exposed as well. This basically sucks heat away before it ever gets into your HVAC system making it less efficient. I also noticed gaps in the return line near the furnace that weren't insulated well. Bought some rubber foam insulation and filled up the gaps and replaced the whole section outside. The temperature in my house instantly improved! Whatever I set on the thermostat was what I got. Even during the really cold nights it's now only 2 degrees below the settings. Cost me $10 to fix. So try this before calling in the HVAC contractors.

PSA: Hard thermal compound isn't dried up, gone bad, or manufacturers cheaping out. It's used to prevent the pump-out effect, which is the paste leaking out from between the cooler and the die/IHS over time. Source: Der8auer

The open valves you see are bent. This is a head from a MIVEC 3.8 from an 07 Mits Galant Ralliart. Can I replace them, plane the head, replace the gaskets and torque-to-yields, water pump and timing belt, on both sides then start it up? The pistons show no damage.

Got the n74 buttoned up and sent back with the customer this morning. All in all it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. Actually beat warranty time on it and the only check engine light was from disconnecting the high pressure pumps to prime the oil circuit. Drove it 30 miles and ran perfect.
Got my TP Credit for the Guns of Glory Tapjoy offer 😎. Spent about $11 and about 3 days to get there but I think it was worth it. In the words of Matthew Mccaughey "You gotta pump those numbers up!" Would suggest if you have the patience to work through building your castle to 16.

Sundance spa sat empty for about 6 years and now it won’t work? Any ideas? Power seems to be flowing everywhere throughout the circuit board but the display won’t light up, nor will any pumps, lights or the heater start up.
I have this circuit with a 12v relay module connected to a 12v pump getting an input from a soil moisture sensor and the power from a 12v 1amp plug. Everything is lighting up except the green light on the relay and the pump is not working. But when i connected the pump normally it works, help.
