###Doctor Conflict of Interest Disclosure Act

Inform patients of potential doctor conflicts of interest regarding drug prescriptions.
*“BE IT Enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—”
Section 1: Interpretation
In this Act, the following terms have the corresponding meanings unless the context requires them to be read otherwise—
“Practitioner” means any individual able to prescribe prescription drugs under the Human Medicines Regulations Act of 2012.
“Payment” means any money given by a pharmaceutical company or individual to a practitioner directly, their practice, or would be received indirectly.
“Payment information” means all information regarding payment amount, the reason for payment, date of payments, names of all parties in the transaction.
“Gift(s)” means any non-monetary goods or services given directly to the practitioner, their practice, or that they indirectly benefited from.
“Pharmaceutical companies” are any companies or individuals licensed to manufacture, sell, or market prescription drugs by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA).
Section 2: Practitioner Disclosure
(1) If a practitioner prescribes any medication or drug that would generate a financial gain for any company or individual that they have received payments or gifts from they shall be required to disclose that to the patient.
(2) The patient shall be provided with a document listing all payment information and gifts received. The document shall also list:
(a) Any promotional or advisory work done by the practitioner for a company or individual that would benefit financially from the drug prescription.
(b) Any seminars, lectures, or meetings attended by the practitioner involved with the prescribed drug.
(c) Any research funding or grants given to the practitioner by pharmaceutical companies.
Section 2: Industry Disclosure
(1) All pharmaceutical companies who have made any payments, research grants or given gifts to the following but not limited to shall be required to report it every month to the appropriate Secretary of State:
(a) practitioners
(b) private practices
(c) hospitals
(d) payments or gifts that would indirectly benefit practitioner or their practices
(e) Health Care Organizations
(f) any drugs they were marketing to the pract
