What does PQRST in relation to an EKG stand for?
I was talking to a couple of people in my A&P class and we couldn't figure out a good answer and google hasn't come up anything (except being part of OPQRST). I feel like it must stand for something or there's a reason why these letters were chosen.
Edit: oops okay, I actually meant why is PQRST used and not ABCDE or some other letters. Do they have some significance or stand for something?
We shot a film recently that has a 35-year-old man get in a car crash and we see scenes of him unconscious in the hospital bed. We had awesome hospital staff help us with getting everything accurate on-location but one thing we're doing in post-production is making a monitor that shows the PQRST wave of the patient before he later flatlines. I want it to be realistic for my graphics guy to make but haven't been able to find anything in my searching, can someone please draw out what an accurate one would look like? Thank you!
