A list of puns related to "Post Office Ltd"
hi guys, I'm moving studios in a week and am clearing out all the stock to start anew. I have also dived into my castaway pile of broken/test/lost and found tapes and given them a new lease of life. None of these are reissues but the original run. I always keep a few for myself + I get testers made before I release them.
The one that people will prob go for first is the R. Stevie more tapes. The double tape with Ariel Pink (ku klux glam) I have about 15 of (they are really sought after by collectors). These ones were never sold because I never had the double tape cases for them at the time so had to take it off sale. I never put them back on sale once the double cassette cases arrived.
These will go pretty fast, and I will ship worldwide, so if you want anything, then have a look and buy! I know some of you have incomplete collections so if there are any POST/POP releases you are really wanting to get your hands on, message me. I do need to let you know that there are no gold gunship tapes though as I get emails about that every other day!
thanks,
Jed
Alas, IR35.
Am closing down my company. The company owns a few items of equipment
Computer ~10 years old
Computer Monitor ~10 years old
Computer Monitor ~3 years old
Laptop ~1 year old
Printer - ~1 year old
I'm happy to buy them off the company. How does one determine an appropriate price taking into account the obvious conflict of interest? Is an estimate from ebay appropriate, or should I be more aggressive?
Today. $CWBHF touched all-time lows once again. This morning, last night's news that the former Chief Administrative Officer of Bacardi would be Charlotte's Web's new CEO was not yet widely known by investors. Once the announcement was circulated, there was a steady flow of buying in $CWBHF. As a result, $CWBHF was up 8.69% and above its 5-day moving average for only the second time in 23 long sessions! This new infusion of top management may be exactly what this company needs.
A semi autobiographical account, we follow Henry, a man in his mid 30s who needs a job and joins the Postal Office only to absolutely hate it. Yet despite this, he is only one of a handful of 200 employees that last 11 years. We follow his monotonous routine of filing letters, being micro managed and taking the mail to unhappy and crazy neighbors. His personal life is also a mess with random hook ups, breaks ups and deaths.
What makes this book so good isn't the prose; it's blatant and straight forward. It's not the plot as their isn't really one. It's just how raw it is. Henry is both sympathetic and pathetic. I relate so much to him when he complains about bureaucracy and having to fake being interested in your job to your employer. He also seems hopeless for not planning a way out. But that's sort of the thing about this book, there are people who put up with the grind and die. It's horrifying and funny and brutally hoenst.
Edit: wow didn't realize bukowski was such a hit with people. Nice.
Heading to the Post Office to drop off the knives that sold from an earlier post. I'd like to get this one shipped off at the same time so I'm dropping the price. The current wait times on these is like 10 months, and you'll pay more than what I'm currently asking w/ taxes and shipping.
Disregard the other knives in the post: https://imgur.com/a/xOdOQqh
North Arm Skaha II CF [A]: Bought this recently off here, and I can absolutely see why they are so sought after. Action on this one is super crisp and satisfying. Has not been used by me or the previous owner. Canβt see anything wrong with this one at all. Comes in a WE soft case and box. Asking $280 >> $265 >> $240 OBO SOLD
Apologies ahead of time for formatting. I used to work for an ISP and they had us answer Tech calls and Billing calls.
Got a call from the CEO of ABC Law Office that went something like this.
>Me: Thank you for calling Large ISP Support, how can I help you?
>CEO: expletive Billing expletive NOW! expletives Money for services not rendered is breach of contract expletives possible legal matter if not fixed expeditiously.
This was about 4 straight minutes of the CEO calmly explaining to me that they had paid their bill and why the notice that they received was totally incorrect and we are all inept jerks taking up his precious $200/hour time.
>Me: Okay, I can definitely help with that, give me a few moments to take a look at the account and see if we can figure this out. Sure enough the bill's not been paid and nothing showed pending on the account.
>Me: Sorry to tell you, but the notice is accurate. This bill for this month has not been paid, or processed.
>CEO: NONSENSE!!!! expletives ...
>Me: Sir, how do you generally make payments? Online, Check via the mail, automated payments?
>CEO: I give the expletive checks to my expletive assistant and they go out in the expletive mail every month like expletive clockwork!!
>Me: Hmmm...I see. Is your assistant in the office?
>CEO: Not at this time!
>Me: Can you check your outgoing mail for the bill? Maybe this one wasn't sent out?
>CEO: Nonsense!!! This is not the first time you expletives Have jacked up our billing!! I want this fixed ASAP!!
>Me: Sir, please...indulge my ever growing curiosity? Can you check your outgoing mail?
>CEO: Sure!! I'll check the expletive outgoing mail. background mumblings then silence.
>CEO: click
When I am reminded of this call, it still makes me chuckle. I didn't need an apology for the tirade this person went on, I got satisfaction enough from that lovely click at the end of this interaction.
Thanks for reading my first post to this group. Y'all are awesome!
Edits for formatting.
I've contacted recently the Finanzamt via phone and they requested me to put everything in writing and send it to an email.
Once I did it, I got an automatic reply saying that they will reach me per post, due to data protection.
Apparently, they are trying to protect me without me even asking for it.
Do I have an option to avoid waiting for the paper post delivery and simply direct all the correspondence to my email?
Thank you all.
Seriously, ELI5. What is in it for them? Seems like it would save time, drama, and money. But maybe Iβm not seeing the big picture.

My partner and I are moving next month and he submitted a change of address form for himself (to the US post service). During the process, he had to pay $1-something to "prove his identity"... but what if the name on mail you receive isn't your legal name? Almost all of my mail goes to my chosen name, but I haven't had a chance to legally change my name yet, so any "proof of identity" I could give them wouldn't work for it.
Has anyone been in a similar situation? Is there any way to prove both names are "me"?
Rip mine, fuck you dejoy.
Live in MA but the closest post office is in NH just over the border. Should I have my "ship from address" as the NH address because that is where my home/business as far as the IRS is concerned come tax time is located--or should I be putting in an address in NH because maybe putting in a MA address might make the tracking info for shipping time inaccurate?
Also, MA has sales tax and NH does not, so could doing one over the other mess that stuff up? Thanks.
