I installed Project Eris on my Playstation Classic and wanted to try a Dualshock 3. I plugged it directly and it worked fine. But I did notice that the analog stick was only emulating the digital dpad (and the right stick probably doesn't do anything at all), so I tried running the games from RetroArch. I launched Fifa 2001, and after 30 seconds into a game, I got a notification that my controller had disconnected and then the console froze and just shut down. After that, the Dualshock 3 controller didn't work anymore on the classic interface, whatever I tried. I then plugged an Xbox Elite 2 controller and it also initially worked fine, but also stopped working out of the blue (without the whole console freezing thing).
Finally, I launched Retroarch from the interface with the original PSC controller, then plugged the DS3 and launched a game. It worked, and by changing the controller type to analog in the RA interface it also made the analog sticks be really analog. And then the game crashed the console again after a few seconds. And the DS3 still doesn't work in the original interface... I'm not sure what's going on and I'd like to be able to fix it :(
Bonus question: is there a way to get real analog/dualshock emulation without Retroarch ?
EDIT: I got an OTG adapter and an 8bitdo receiver to pair the DS3 to, and it now works without issues

I'm looking for the Playstation Classic commercial featuring many different characters from different games that are available on the system. Interestingly, Japan had some differences in its line up, which is reflected in the commercial. Initially, I had Project Eris installed on my PS Classic. I was using the 8bitdo PS Classic Dongle (grey one) and my dualshock 4 controller worked. Like an idiot, I uninstalled Project Eris thinking I needed to do so for Retro Arch. I wound up reinstalling Project Eris and got everything all set up. Only difference is now my dualshock 4 won't work.
The controller connects to the 8bitdo adapter but the console keeps telling me that it can't recognize the controller. I was able to connect another ds4, as well as a ds3, to the controller adapter and neither were recognized.
I read up on holding Share and the Down button for 3 seconds to swap modes for the adapter. I've red the light on the back is supposed to turn green but it stays blue for me. The only change I see is the adapter blinks twice. After performing this change, the controller is still not detected.
The firmware is up-to-date on the adapter. The wired controllers which came with the console work. I also turned on Bluetooth on Project Eris. A wired DS4 doesn't work. I've tested all controllers on my PC and they've been confirmed to work, which leads me to believe it's something with my Playstation Classic. It's confusing because I'm using the same hardware I used when I initially installed Project Eris. Anyone have any suggestions?
Update: I managed to get the controller working only when a controller bundled with the Classic was plugged into the second slot. Once I unplug the controller in port two or unplug the controller adapter in port 1, the adapter/controller doesn't work again until I power cycle the system. I don't remember this being a thing last time.

Quick question (sorry if it's been asked before, I looked but couldn't find a simmilar thread) :
I just got a Playstation Classic as a gift and I noticed it only has 4 games I like (FFVII, Persona, RE and MGS).
There are a couple of games that I don't dislike (Tekken 3, Rayman and Wild Arms for nostalgic reasons) but the rest are games I kinda hate.
There are some PS1 games that aren't available either on PS3 or PS4 (like the Brave Fencer Musashi, Valkyrie Profile, etc.) which I know can be emulated on PC but I'd love to do it through PS Classic.
My question is: Is there an easy and "safe" way of either ADDING some games (I don't know what the size of the ps classic is so I'm guessing there might be a limit) or in case it's maxed out, REPLACING SOME of the games while leaving others untouched?
I don't want to mod the console, I don't want to have to disable port 2 by using a USB stick, I just want to keep the console the closest possible to how it came from the box, while just being able to have games I absolutely love.
I'm not a huge tech savvy, I find my ways and learn whenever I really want something, but I'm not a coder so I am kind of limited on doing very advanced stuff.
