A list of puns related to "Planet Stories"
I read this short story in school in 8th grade, it was part of a lecture in class. I feel like the little girls name was Maggie but Iβm not seeing results when I google it so Iβm probably wrong about that and mixing up short stories. Anyways, these kids lived on another planet which Iβm pretty sure was Jupiter or Venus. The little girl is bullied and life is miserable because there is no sunshine, these kids have never seen the daylight. Finally the day comes when the planet will see the sun shine, and itβs the first time in these kids lives to ever see the sun. The story follows this little girl being bullied and when itβs time to see the sun, her classmates lock her in a closet and they all go outside without her. Does anyone know the name of this short story?
Like when will I have all the upgrades and stuff needed to unlock 100% of all the planets?
I just killed the Ninth Sister and the game is telling me to go to Dathomir
I'm not really knowledgable on astronomy, so maybe all of this sounds totally dumb or whatever. But, I got an idea and I need it to be known to the world! XD
So, the basic idea is, a far future Earth species learns that it and all of the Solar System will not be destroyed due to the Sun exploding or whatever, but instead the planets themselves will be gravitationally or magnetically pulled away by some birth of a faraway celestial object, or maybe the delicate balance of their gravitational orbit is disrupted, and Earth will soon be sent into the void of space, no longer able to benefit from the Sun.
But, this is a far-future Earth we're talking about, so they have some ways to prepare for this upcoming challenge. Developing alternate energy resources, gathering tons of energy and developing technologies which could mimic the sun, or large underground shelter complexes that would allow humans(?) to live their whole lives underground, warmed by the Earth's core instead, synthesizing vitamins that would normally be gained from the sun or even genetically modifying themselves over many generations to become more like moles or other underground species which could live without the Sun's energy etc.
I dunno where this concept could be taken further. Maybe all their preparation pays off, or it doesn't, or this far future species finds themselves with unexpected problems from the lack of Sun or whatever else! I'd love to read a story that just delves into the worldbuilding of this possible future world! Heck, it wouldn't even have to be Earth - it could be an alien species and planet!
When he leaves the ship, he returns to find that a lot of time has passed. Something about the lead shielding (or something) from the ship prevents the time passage inside the ship from being the same as the time passage outside the ship.
I think it was written by Ray Bradbury or Isaac Asimov or some other sci fi heavy hitter
I just discovered this term - and found some really scary fact having Uranus & Neptune in my 6th house, Pluto in my 4th house being very relevant to what happened in my life. I never can adapt to boring working guidelines/ SOP. I seems to always challenge my ex-boss. I was also the odd one in my family - being bisexual and OK with not being a married person, which is so different from what my parent expects of me, nor my relatives and friends have similar observations.
Just curious, if anyone can share your outer planet placement experience? I am kind of feeling odd but I am also telling myself, IT IS OKAY, everyone is unique XD
I think it was just Uranus, Neptune and Pluto have some mission for me? Who knows.
Are Lapis and Paladia separate planets? The use of the word World confuses the hell out of me. Wish the translations were better. For the global story.
One thing that always bugged me about a lot of the bosses in this game is that they feel like walking into a movie in the third act, with characters yelling about a bunch of stuff I couldn't understand. They want revenge on me for things I haven't done, they criticize me for decisions I haven't made. They get mad at me for allying with people I've never met.
The reason for this is that a lot of bosses are from old events, meant to be the culmination of a bunch of missions that unfolded over time. Then they just lifted the final encounter from the event and made it its own node so players could relive the moment.
The problem is that by doing this they excised all the context from these boss fights and then didn't replace it with anything, leaving the player adrift. Put yourself in the shoes of a new player going through the star chart for the first time. What the heck is a tubeman? What are these two old men arguing about? Why is Vor alive, why is he magic now and why is he talking like a preacher and yelling about keys?
My solution is to go back into the events and mine them for any unused voicelines and explanations, then string those out into a bunch of mini-quests that unlock when you first arrive on a planet. So you show up on, say, Pluto and you get a quick into of "the corpus are making super-smart chicken tanks on this planet. Let's go stop them." Then you get a few quest nodes leading across Pluto, each with a bit of the story from Ambulas Reborn, then when you get to the boss fight we actually know who these people are and what they're trying to do.
This would also help with the perennial problem of new players not knowing what they're supposed to be doing. You give them a quest when they arrive on a planet that strings them along to the boss fight, which is right next to the junction node for the next planet. Hell, you don't even need event stories, you'd just need a quick cinematic about the planet and the jerk you have to beat to move on. The quest could be a simple as "This is Lech Kril. He's got a big hammer, he kicks Martian puppies, and he thinks you suck too much to stop him." and then there's a glowing quest icon on his node as a "go here" indicator for newbies.
What this doesn't solve is Alad V. I'm guessing he had some events that didn't get turned into boss fights, or that have been replaced? His timeline is a mess. You start The Second Dream on Uranus and Lotus says that we have to work with Alad despite our history. Problem w
... keep reading on reddit β‘Humans land on the planet, genetically engineer the colonists to survive in the shallow waters on the planet. Many years later the colonists have no knowledge of where they came from, and share the environment with some other sentient microscopic creatures that are native to the planet.
I cant for the life of me remember what the story/book was called.

For those who havenβt. It is a story of βContacteeβ Michel Desmarquet being taken to a planet named Thiaoouba(Jehovah ?)by giant βspace astronautsβ who can can shrink to human size(Book of Enoch says this of βThe Watchersβ while on their βchariot of fireβ. )The ET tell the story of our ancestry & how Earth isnβt our original home.
This reminded me because of something but I couldnβt quite remember, then I discovered Project Stargate. Joe Mcmoneagle story of his remote view of Ancient Mars is The details are eerily similar to what was told to Michel by the ET.
During the abduction heβs also told of our ancestors evacuating & waiting to the planet to be safe again.
But what really convinced me his account was actually true, the ET tells him that When people of Earth ask for βproofβ, then tell them that The they were responsible for the removal twice of βneedlesβ that were dangerous for the Earth. Reading through the CIA Declassified stuff, there was a Project that put these needles in to space, but they were removed on TWO different times... recently declassified cia files say that iin 1963 Project West Ford , used these needles to create a ring of sorts around Earth. The files literally admit to really not knowing wtf they went... anyone else read this book ?
Backstory
Inside the community-run R-planet discord there is a chat board for each undiscovered element where brainstorming and discussion occurs on a regular basis.
Today someone named bongo cat dropped his idea for anyone willing to take the risk and give his idea for calculator a try.
\"If anyone wants to go for it, pls do\" -bongo cat (on discord)
A brief exchange occurs within minutes...
Exactly 16 minutes later Luffy posts the good news!
Inventors prize stakes for the same price as a mythic Calculator (77k ae/ph)
And then not five minutes go by and this exchange...
Luffy gifted bongo cat Mint Number 1 NFT of Calculator! He took all the risk and shared the reward!
I love this this story for eighteen different reasons, but I'll highlight two reasons.
TLDR: The more I learn about the R-planet community the more I love the game!
I think it was either a short story or small novel. I read it forever ago. I think there was a part near the end where he said he bumped into the wall or something and it minted he had wings or something..
