Episode 6: Tale of a Sail

Setting and Age: Texas (Texas Red Beds), 285 million BC (Artinskian stage of the Early Permian)

Plot: The Kratts and the crew travel to Texas during the Permian period and witnessed the sailback pelycosaurs such as the famous Dimetrodon and so the two brothers use their Dimetrodon Power to see how these synapsids (or proto-mammals) used their sails.

Animals: Dimetrodon grandis, Edaphosaurus boanerges, Eryops megacephalus, Diplocaulus magnicornis, Secodontosaurus obtusidens, Seymouria baylorensis, Sphenacodon ferox, and Xenacanthus texensis.

Episode 7: Dinobirds of a Feather

Setting and Age: Liaoning Province, China (Yixian Formation), 124.6 million BC (Early Aptian stage of the Early Cretaceous)

Plot: The Kratts and their crew travel to the forests of Early Cretaceous China and encountered a variety of feathered dinosaurs that inhabited the area. The duo used their Creature Power of some of the feathered dinos to determine what the purpose of feathers were for and what they relate to modern birds and their evolutionary relationship with them. Meanwhile, fashion designer Donita Donata's henchman, Dabio, sneaks in and begins capturing the feathered dinosaurs for plans to make a gown made of their feathers for Donita. The crew must stop them and rescued the feathered dinosaurs.

Animals: Sinosauropteryx prima, Sinornithosaurus milleni, Yutyrannus huali, Beipiaosaurus inexpectus, Caudipteryx zoui, Sinocalliopteryx gigas, Confuciusornis sanctus, Psittacosaurus lujiatunensis, Dongbeititan dongi, Xianglong zhaoi, Eosipterus yangi, and Hyphalosaurus baitaigouensis.

Episode 8: Fly Griffinfly, Fly

Setting and Age: Oklahoma (Wellington Formation), 285 million BC (Artinskian stage of the Early Permian)

Plot: While visiting the swamps of what is now Oklahoma during the Early Permian period, the Kratt brothers fly with the giant dragonfly-like Meganeuropsis, the largest insect that ever flew with a wingspan of over 2 feet in length, whilst using their Meganeuropsis Creature Power to learn about its lifestyle, behavior, its role as an aerial predator, and why these insects got so big during the time.

Animals: Meganeuropsis permiana, Moravis grandis (descibed as palaeodictyoptera), Diplocaulus magnicornis, and Edaphosaurus cruciger.

I wanna explore a phrase that has been bothering me for a few weeks now. One that our beloved R.C stated, “Talk is cheap, it takes money to buy whiskey”. TLDR at the end, along with the Sauce.

Part 1: Defining the phrase:

(A): The phrase “talk is cheap” is actually a shortened version of at least two other commonly used American idioms — “talk is cheap but it takes money to buy whisky” and “talk is cheap but it takes money to buy a farm.”

What is an Idiom?

(B)An Idiom is, “an expression that cannot be understood from the meanings of its separate words but that has a separate meaning of its own”

This is exactly why R.C didn’t just say “Talk is cheap”. He used a full verse for a reason.

Part 2, Examples of famous use:

(A) the phrase “Talk is cheap” has many famous uses and they include:

• An article headling in the Portsmouth Times published on August 21, 1958 carried the headline: “United Nations: Talk Is Cheap.”
• On October 2, 1926 in the Gridley Herald and the Lyon County Reporter — just two of several newspapers who carried the same Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company Bell System advertisement, the focus was on talk being cheap.
• Bell was pushing their motto of “one policy, one system, universal service.’ What’s interesting about this is that it implied that the phrase “talk is cheap but it takes money to buy a farm” went back at least one generation, to when the decision makers in the home and business worlds were merely school children.
• Indeed, the L.A. Times printed an article in July 23, 1896 wherein a news story reported: It is that talk is cheap, but that it takes votes to elect a President. The Detroit Journal calls the platform adopted at the Chicago convention “a platform of cranks, by cranks, for cranks.” [This could be a direct jab at us as shareholders to motivate us into Direct Registration system of GME]
• Although no one can say on what date exactly Phineas Taylor (P.T.) Barnum said “talk is cheap until you hire a lawyer” but it’s believed it was some time after 1856, [This is the one that stood out to me, and I’ll explain later why]

I managed to get the complete album from the leak, however I will not be sharing any actual audio due to it being leaked by an honest mistake from Jack. I also think anybody else that has these files should definitely listen and enjoy, but shouldn't spread the audio around, out of respect for the band. However I wont be giving you guys nothing, Ill give a vague summary of the style of each song and some personal thoughts, and Ill share if its worth getting hyped for this LP.

Tracks:

1. ??? - A solid intro for the album, a style similar to Shyga's electronic sounds, however WAY more darker, fleshed out, and effective.
2. Lava Lamp Pisco - First single from the album, still a banger.
3. ??? - Very interesting change from Pisco, very pleasant and acoustic and brings back one of my favorite instruments from earlier albums.
4. ??? - Starts out bright and happy, turns into one of their heaviest, loudest riffs yet. Tied for my 3rd favorite on the album.
5. ??? - Very vibey piece, one of the less heavier pieces but still awesome in a chill trancy way.
6. ??? - A very "And Now For The Whatchamacallit" style and sounds amazing, however more catchy, and heavier. Tied for my 3rd favorite on the album.
7. ??? - VERY CATCHY, title of the track is named after a celebrity, and in my opinion has a good chance at being the next single. My 2nd favorite on the album.
8. ??? - Electronic vibe, tells a good story, similar (amazing) electronic sounds to the first track.
9. ??? - My favorite track on the album, very heavy, very catchy, my favorite song by the band at the moment.
10. ??? - Ambient electronic transitional piece, similar use as Entropy, still an amazing song.
11. ??? - AMAZING outro, similar format to closer on HV:1, ends the album perfectly.

So is it safe to get hyped for this album? Definitely. They really delivered with this one, and it will be worth the wait, I promise. You guys are gonna love this when it drops.
