On the day of your birthday, you are able to summon Pinkie Pie. When you summon her, Pinkie will meet you where you are. From there, Pinkie will throw you a birthday party! Pinkie leaves when the day is over and you can’t summon her again until your next birthday.
One of my favorite aspects of MLP:FiM is the characterization of the Mane 6. Having 6 characters means that no matter who you are, you have the opportunity to relate to at least one of them. Additionally, their personalities are far more fleshed out that your average children's cartoon characters. Yes, they all have a "Gimmick" - such as Applejack being the farmgirl, Rainbow Dash being the Athlete, and Rarity being the fashionista - But they never fall in to the trap of only existing to serve that sole purpose. They're complex, dynamic, and sometimes inconsistent in their judgements and actions just as a real person would. Beneath their primary character traits, each of the Mane 6 has a plethora of subtle quirks, interests, and ideas that make them seem as nuanced as anybody you might bump in to on the street. It's incredible, really, what the writers were able to do. I feel like I know the Mane 6 well enough to judge how they might react to any prospective scenario or circumstance with a high level of accuracy. Perhaps that's why this fandom has so much more fan fiction than any other before it; It's easy to write these characters in to any scene we can dream up because we know them like the back of our hands.
Often times, whenever I'm bored, I'll begin to daydream. I place the cast of FiM in to all varieties of conflicts, or imagine how they might handle certain topics that the show itself is unable to portray thanks to it's modest TV-Y7 rating. Today, I was pondering which out of the Mane 6, if any, would consume alcohol. If they drank, what would they drink, and how often? Now, the concept of our beloved colorful equines consuming the devil's juice isn't even that far fetched to begin with. One of the main exports from Sweet Apple Acres, (Applejack's Apple Orchard) is apple cider. During cider season, ponies will line up for miles just to get a taste. One sneaky detail the artists included within the depiction of this cider is the foam which is always seen swishing around, overflowing the top of each and every cider mug ever shown in the series. Being a functioning alcoholic myself, I can tell you with utmost confidence that the ONLY cider which foams in that way is hard cider. Alcohol. confidence in a cup. Liquid courage. The cause of, and solution to, all of life's problems; Even in Equestria, it would seem.
