A list of puns related to "Phra Pradaeng District"
Homage to the Triple Gem
May the Buddha guide my thoughts and actions throughout the day.
May the Dhamma help me be strong in moments of weakness,
brave in times of trouble and calm in the face of changing fortunes.
May the Sangha inspire me to act with kindness,
patience and forgiveness in my dealings with others, including the unfriendly.
May the Arahants and Bodhisattvas guide me in my life.
May this country be blessed with wise leadership, with peace and with prosperity.
May the Buddha be at my head, the Dhamma in my heart and the Sangha at my side,
to protect and guide me always.
Sadhu Sadhu Sadhu
Edit: sorry to cause any confusion from the title. I do not know the exact translation of Wan Phra which is in Thai. Thanks to u/buddhistfirst for explaining it, which is the Thai Holy day where Thais observe Uposatha.
On Paddy Doyle's channel he said the sky temples are closed due to covid, but as far as I can tell that was several months ago and it was word of mouth. I plan on being in the Lampang area sometime around the middle of February, does anyone in the area have any more recent updates? Seems like they would want to reopen one of Lampang's biggest draws with the reopening of the country.
Tomorrow we meet up in our Shenyangs. Same place, same time.
Kind of a random question but I've checked the Family Marts, Tesco and 7-11's that I know of - anyone know where to find either Red Horse or Lao Dark beer in On Nut or Phra Khanong? Not feeling the Thai beers haha...
Wondering if anyone knows of any good massages shops near On Nut or Phra Khanong? I've tried a few just walking around and they weren't very good. Not interested in extra services lol, just want a legit massage shop that I would go to after the gym once a week or so.
Cheers
Hey there
Based in Bangkok and was hoping to check out both Phra Pathom Chedi and the Amphawa Floating Market - looks like it's quite the trek on public transit to get out there. Are there are any drivers or tour services out there that someone could recommend? It's about 1 hour from central BKK to Phra Pathom Chedi and then another hour from there to the floating market. If anyone cares to join would be looking for company to split travel costs as well.

I always thought that I had a bad digital rip or something, but it's even on the Spotify playback.
What's with that? I don't have a CD copy anymore, is it present on that as well? I think it does it intermittently on the song, but specifically around 4:17 ish.
Im not crazy, right? At least not about this?
Dhamma
Our whole life is Dhamma,
Dhamma embraces all experiences.
Whoever has good ears and eyes
Will be able to hear, see
And understand Dhamma.
Nature itself will preach Dhamma,
Teach Dhamma and praise Dhamma
In silent language, though it's own will.
Calm the mind and watch,
Then you will hear
The voice of Dhamma clearly.
Dhamma is already there.
When you maintain mindfulness,
Awareness and wisdom,
Perfectly established in the mind,
The mind will become one-pointed
And things will appear
For us to see and understand.
If the mind is still and one-pointed
While sitting, standing,
Watching or listening,
It will wholeheartedly
Understand all things.
