The Strangler is enjoying a nice martini at Phineas and Ferb's new bar when Candace discovers the whole thing and announces her intentions to tell on her brothers. The bar somehow disappears before Linda can see it, of course, and the Strangler, already feeling homicidal towards Candace, now wants to wrap his diabolical, dirty hands around her long neck and squeeze the life out of her. Can he do it?
Note: The Strangler is human-sized and can breathe air.
I've recently been watching Phineas and Ferb again on Disney+, and I'm realizing a lot of things that I never thought about as a kid:
- Who is Phineas' father?
- Why did Doof and his ex-wife get a divorce?
- Doof and Linda used to date
- We don't know who Candace's father is either. Is it the same as Phineas?
My theory is that Doof may be Phineas' father.
My first piece of evidence is obviously that Linda and Doof went on a date back in the 80's. They obviously know each other. Plus, Danville seems like a fairly small city. We see the same few dozen people in every crowd. For example, Ferb met Vanessa by accident, after they both happened to go into the same blueprint store, in which Carl the intern also happened to be there. If these three people from three separate areas of the Phineas and Ferb canon can all happen to be in the exact same place at the exact same time, then who says Doof and Linda couldn't have met up again?
Secondly, if you look at Phineas, Linda and Doof's physical features, they seem to match. The most obvious feature is Phineas' iconic triangle face. It's such an odd face shape, but there is actually one other person in Danville with a triangular face: Doof. Doof also has a very big nose, which is brought up more than once on the show. The same is said about Phineas, as we are told his whole face is his nose. If you look at Linda's nose, you'll see that it is much smaller, but more triangular, just like Phineas' whole face/nose (man, Phineas' head is weird). Next up is hair; Phineas obviously inherited his bright red hair colour from Linda, but what about the texture, or structure? It isn't fluffy like Linda's, or as straight as Candace's. If you look closely, you can see that it's almost identical to Doof's hairstyle; six large pieces, with three sticking out towards the back, and three sticking out towards the front. Then there's eyes; Linda and Phineas have very different eye shapes. Linda's eyes are much slimmer than Phineas'. Who else has large round eyes? Doof. Next up is posture. Linda stands very straight, whereas if you pay close attention, Phineas slouches slightly. Doof has admitted on multiple occassions that he slouches.
The next major similarity between Doof and Phineas is their love of science. It's proven to us in the imagery for the musical number "Busted" that Phineas and Doof act the same, and have the same interests. It's very common for children to act like their parents. Of course, Phineas is trying to h

My friends and I expanded the theory that Doofenshmirtz is Phineas’ dad in math today...
Basically, yes, Linda and Doof used to date, but seeing as to how their attire was clearly representative of the 80’s and Candace was born July 11, 1992, there’s no way Phineas was conceived in the 80’s. Instead, Linda and Doof broke up, and Linda met Candace’s dad, married him, and had Candace. Doof, meanwhile, met Vanessa’s mom and had Vanessa. At some point, Linda and Doof rekindled their relationship, having a secret affair. Phineas was conceived. However, Candace caught them in the act, and her dad and Charlene (Doof’s wife) found out. Charlene divorced Doof, taking Vanessa with her. Candace’s dad and Linda argued a lot, but stayed together until Phineas was born. Phineas, being too much for the dad to handle as he was another man’s son, divorced Linda and left the family. Candace, still too young at the time to understand all this, came to associate Phineas’ arrival with her dad abandoning the family, so she comes to dislike Phineas and try to do everything she can to get him in trouble as they grow up. Her act of catching her mom’s affair reflects her newfound trait of trying to catch everything bad Phineas does and go tattle on him. Eventually, Ferb and his dad move to America from England, and Lawrence married Linda, bringing Phineas and Ferb, the dynamic duo, together. Though she has no real reason to dislike the quiet-demeanored Ferb, Candace sees his and Phineas strong bond and sets out to take both of them down. Meanwhile, Linda can’t be bothered to ever punish Phineas because he reminds her too much of the man she truly loved, Doofenshmirtz, while Candace reminds her of an unsatisfying husband who walked out of her life. Thus, she favors Phineas. Doof, in the meantime, deals with Vanessa, who hates him because she, like Candace, was mad that her dad did something that broke up their family. Doof just wants to reconcile with her. Doof’s parentage of Phineas explains the boy’s triangular head and his inventive genius. Also, Doof’s mission to take over the tri-state area is his way of yearning the love he shared with Linda, as it was she who originally suggested he take over the tri-state area as a stepping stone to taking over the world.
If this isn’t permissible on the sub (I couldn’t find anything against it in the rules), I’ll understand it being taken down.
Could all of those guys beat Rick Sanchez in a fight?
- There is prep time, both sides know what the other is capable of (Without prep time I think that's too easy of a win for Rick)
- Their goal is to kill Rick one time or to disable him to the point that he can't fight back. Rick can win by either rendering any of them incapable of fighting back or killing them.
- The fight will occur in Retroville
- Everyone can use the inventions they've made thus far or hand-to-hand combat if they wish (Not that that would have much use)
- No outside help. Morty, Candace, DeeDee, Sam Sparks, and Carl Wheezer all will be spectators, though
I've actually had this theory for a long time but i never found time to research on it but after some research. I'm sharing my theory as to who the mystery father is.
There have been a lot of theories that Dr. Doofenshmirtz is the father of Phineas and Candace but that has been disputed in the episode" What Do It Do?" Although his brother, Roger could be the father. It would explain how Phineas has the same head shape as Heinz and no one else in the Tri-State Area since Roger would've had the recessive triangular-shaped head gene because he is the biological brother of Heinz. It could also be another reason why Dr. Doof detests his younger brother since he (probably unknowingly) proved himself to be better than Heinz by getting the girl he couldn't.
I have researched for any interactions between Linda (Phineas' and Candace's mother) and Roger and have found none so far to strengthen my theory.

Ever notice how despite his goal being to take over the tri-state area, he follows the flynn-fletcher family wherever they go? They go to London, he's there. They get stranded on a remote island by chance, he's there. Why does he follow them? As Perry's owner, Phineas and Ferb are the biggest threat to Doofensmirtz's schemes. Perhaps there's a hidden motive we don't see in his schemes.
In one of his flashbacks, we see that Doofensmirtz previously dated Linda, Phineas and Ferb's mother, in his teenaged years. He told her he had ambitions to take over the world, but she suggested to start small, with just the tristate area. So, I think that all of his plans throughout the show, where his stated goal is to "take over the tri-state area", are really just veiled attempts to impress Linda and get back with her.
As another argument, notice how high-profile his attempts are. Covering the eastern seaboard in tin-foil? That would've definitely been on the news! The most effective way would be a co-vert method, like selling his inventions and using the money to influence his politician brother and rule the tri-state area by proxy. However, Linda wouldn't see that. He uses visible ways so that she can see him fulfilling his ambitions. Women like powerful men, right?
But what about his ex-wife, Charlene, and his daughter Vanessa? Well, notice how Doofensmirtz doesn't have a job. I think he just married Charlene so that he could mooch off of her to fund his schemes, while not working so he has enough time for them. He made Vanessa with her to keep her appeased. He lied his way through the marriage as a means of trying to get back with the woman he really loved.
By in-universe time passage I mean like if each episode takes place over a day, then add them together and it's at least that many days.
