A list of puns related to "Philadelphia Police Department"
My wife was rear ended this afternoon near the northern end of Lincoln drive this afternoon. Our car was pushed into another car and after the accident was undrivable. The accident was about a ten minute walk from our house so I went down to make sure everything was okay. The police were called immediately. Our car was off to the side but slightly in the lane of traffic. After about 50 minutes I called 911 again to let them know the situation and to see if anyone would be out. Eventually I spoke to our tow company AAA who advised us that a tow driver would not tow our car without police present or without a police report because that would be leaving the scene of the accident. Perhaps that's a ridiculous policy, but it wouldn't matter if the police actually did their job. Meanwhile, gawkers looking at the accident caused ANOTHER accident in the lane of traffic. Now we have 7 cars, at a busy intersection, and no police. Called them again, completely unhelpful, would not give me a straight answer if they would even show up, let alone when. I finally called a tow company that would come and take my car to a shop near my house.
The police in the city do not help you. They do not respond to accidents. They do not solve crime. They do not investigate crime. I spent two hours standing on Lincoln Drive and not a single police car drove by. Our police avoid work. Just my personal experience with our useless, unhelpful police department.
>According to his just-filed federal lawsuit against the city, Turner has been unable to obtain any job in law enforcement, because when he applied for a gun permit late last year, the Philadelphia Police Department denied his application.

>βApplicant is an individual whose character and reputation is such that the individual would be likely to act in a manner dangerous to public safety,β the department wrote in its ruling, according to the suit. (The Philadelphia Police Department is the agency that issues gun permits for all residents in Philadelphia, not just cops or former cops.)
