A list of puns related to "Phil Lamarr"
what do you guys want me to ask? which means i only got 2 weeks to beat battle through time i shouldn't have played master samurai as a first run through but im close to the end and i will get that secret ending ive heard about i hope its worth it i know what i might say " you know aku lost the moment he delivered his essense to that cult his ego was his biggest weakness as was the high priestess they underestimated jack and ashi as strong people speaking of ashi i mentioned to you the possibility of a new ending but perhaps it wouldn't work jack's life is always about suffering losing ashi was hard but he overcame that sadness my favorite scene in jacks story is when he's on the brink of giving up to climb but the monks encouraging him to climb in the end he makes it and shouts to never give up on his goal i see myself in that moment my dream is acting and its been hard but i know i can't give up its a hard industry but i know one day ill reach a breakthrough
Last year in September Chris Edgerly the voice of Pathfinder had Phil Lamarr on his podcast. The character development process are usually done months way in advance. They probably could of met while recording lines for Apex or for an event. But during the podcast Chris one topic was college degrees and how was itβs applied in entertainment business and he was telling a story about an actress βhe recently worked with on on a Respawn game..which I canβt say anything else aboutβ, he joked..And Philβs body language kinda changed and he looked away when he heard Respawn/Apex legends.
Theyβre probably not suppose to say anything due to NDAβs or whatever. I know thatβs not much or a leak or anything lmao but my gut tells me itβs him.
Phil LaMarr voiced Samuari Jack, Static Shock, The Green Lantern, Hermes from Futurama etc..Many voices of my childhood..but he fits the role for the voice of Pariah in my opinion...teenage/young adult black male, cyborg, kinda mysterious.
The above quote comes from a video ranking the power levels of various cartoon protagonists. It included Samurai Jack and Static, but I don't remember where they were placed, but said video also put Danny Phantom and DCAU Superman at solar system level, and Twilight Sparkle at universal. So whatever.
Anyway, Jack gets anything from the show, and the recent Battle Through Time(Cause that's apparently canon), while the Static fighting is just his DCAU incarnation.
I stole this quote from a video that ranked various cartoon protagonists in power levels.

Corporate greed has put the brakes on some of your favorite games, hurting everybody on the team, help us tell them that performance matters to you!
EDIT: Sorry everyone, we have to go, we're going to go do this again! We want to be really open and transparent, unlike the GameCorps that we are striking against. So please check out the Indie Contract and talk to us about it next time!

Hi, everyone! We're hosting a live Samurai Jack discussion with Phil LaMarr and Greg Baldwin today at 2pm PST (5PM EST). This is for The Ship-it Show, which is a weekly talk show hosted by Tara Strong and Greg Cipes, who are both prolific voice actors themselves; it's sort of like a virtual comic con panel. The stream will be on our YouTube Channel, so feel free to join and share your questions and comments.
You can find us here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCyKvero9c0o2X8Wb9gb-9Xg
The direct link won't be active until we're actually live, so keep an eye out at (or a few minutes after) 2pm PST / 5pm EST.
"Anybody trying to create false equivalencies about underrepresented minorities (POC, women) voicing majorities (white, males) in animation, keep my name the f--- out ya mouth. Questioning the decision to cast me as the Samurai or casting UK actors as Americans is a question of authenticity. That is NOT the same as questioning a casting decision that echoes the problematic history of majority actors playing minorities. They are different issues."

Thoughts? I found it interesting he was very vocal at people calling him out for voicing an Asian character as a black man.
Phil LaMarr is Jack's voice actor
Like a bunch of the kids in my video, audio, visual, and journalism parts of my school were asked to do this and I put down 3 generic questions, someone chip in with some question and I'll see if I can ask him it
