A list of puns related to "Peter Mccann"
I don't remember all of the details but I think Duck asked Peter for help. He had a meeting with some dude from the airline and then the dude was interested in Peter for a job. Peter figured something out and told Duck he was sly or whatever trying to set him up with an interview and I think Duck laughed it off and admitted it was good for Peter since he can get his money from Mccann and move onto the job at that airline.
So my questions are did Duck really meant to help Peter out in that way or did Duck screw himself over? And what's so good about the airline job than working at Mccann? Honestly with how fucking amazing Peter was at his job and getting even better (I forgot the details but something was mentioned like Peter saving some accounts and I think bringing in accounts), he probably would've made it to the top in no time at a huge ass advertising firm in Mccann.
Just a joke!
Mods please lock the thread now, because I've said it's just a joke. So that's that.
It will soon be 25 years since the murder of JonBenet Ramsey. In a shameless effort to promote our new podcast A NORMAL FAMILY: THE JONBENET RAMSEY CASE REVISITED, we have put together a list of false statements made by the Ramseys over the years.
In addition to the statements listed here, the Ramseys have said many things over the years which seem highly implausible, though are technically impossible to verify one way or the other, e.g. Patsy claiming not to recognize her own handwriting. I have not included those in this list, except when a credible eyewitness has testified that the statement is conclusively false.
>Interviewer: Was she hidden in any way? >John: (shaking his head) No. (01/01/1997)
Jonbenetβs body was hidden under a blanket in a pitch-dark storage room in the basement behind a latched door. Several police officers, John Ramsey, and a family friend, had all been in the basement that morning and none of them had noticed the body. She was hidden.
>John: βThe [basement] window stands wide openβ (The Other Side of Suffering, 2012)
In 1997 John said he had gone to the basement alone sometime on the morning of December 26th, found the window open, and closed it. He said the window was open βabout an eighth of an inchβ when he went down there. In 1998 he said it was open βan inch, maybe lessβ and βcracked and open a little bitβ. In 2001 he called it a βpartially opened windowβ and by 2012 he was saying it was βwide openβ. John now consistently gives the public the impression there was a wide open window in the basement. u/cottonstarr has documented the history of Johnβs changing statements on the basement window.
>Interviewer: What were you wearing, Patsy [to the Whites' party on Christmas night], a red turtleneck and black⦠>Patsy: Velvet pants. And I have a Christmas sweater I was wearing. >Interviewer: And that was over the turtleneck? >Patsy: Yeah.
Photographs taken at the party by Fleet White revealed Patsy was not wearing a Christmas sweater, she was actually wearing a black and red checked jacket. Patsy had not handed that jacket over to police. When she final

As in the title, whose face do you picture (if any) when youβre imagining the characters?
Iβve just finished another listen through of the series and I realised that I only really have an image in my head for certain characters and would like to see if anyone else has any ideas to fill in the gaps or would be better.
Peter: in my head, Peter has always been Jacob Anderson (Grey Worm from game of thrones) the description is close enough in looks and I once heard his natural speaking voice during a guest appearance for a letβs play on YouTube and his normal voice is so close to the voice that Kobna Holbrook-Smith uses in the audiobooks that the two just clicked.
Nightingale: during my first few listens, Nightingale in my head always look like Anthony Stuart Head, more specifically like Giles from early seasons of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It wasnβt till my most recent listen that it finally clicked that he doesnβt actually need to look βoldβ and he ended up looking like a slightly aged up Richard Madden or maybe Tom hiddleston. It switched around based on context.
Lesley May: Lesley May has always looked like Billie Piper in my head, Iβm not sure why but that was just an instant image that hasnβt been overwritten yet and Iβm not sure it will
Seawall: (audiobook listener so unsure of spelling but I canβt be far off) Seawall has pretty much always been Rory McCann (the Hound from Game of thrones)
Molly: In my head, Katie McGrath is who I always picture for Molly
Faceless man: David Tennant. Seeing him as kilgrave in Jessica jones and as Barty Crouch Junior in Harry Potter cemented that he can play the charismatic, almost over the top villain while also being capable of being incredibly sinister. When he wants to be. He can also play a very charming and affable persona for when we see him out of the mask too.
Richard Grant: Bill Nighy, he has the gaunt features that make you believe he could have led the βalmost famous superstarβ kind of life while still having the underlying charm that makes you believe it too
Side characters that had instant faces:
Oberon was immediately Idris Elba Zach was immediately Robert Sheehan
Anybody else have any faces to add to my little cast list Iβve got slowly filling up my head?
Inspired by a post from r/devils, my pick: Igor Ozhiganov
I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

>Trevor Bidelman of BCTGM Local 3G executive board said that state Reps. Jim Haadsma (D-Battle Creek), Terry Sabo (D-Muskegon) and Julie Rogers (D-Kalamazoo) have all come out to support picketing workers, along with Attorney General Dana Nessel and state Sens. Sean McCann (D-Kalamazoo) and Stephanie Chang (D-Detroit).
>
>U.S. Sen. Gary Peters (D-Bloomfield Twp.) has also sent letters of support, Bidelman said, and U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) sent pizza and supporters to the line, along with a sizable donation.
>
>Notably absent in this show of support, however, are any Republican elected officials β even those who directly represent the Battle Creek area.
>
>Neither U.S. Rep. Peter Meijer (R-Grand Rapids) nor state Sen. John Bizon (R-Battle Creek) have publicly commented on the Kellogg strike. Meijer and Bizon did not respond to requests for comment.
>
>βI can tell you that our plant in Battle Creek is probably 70% Republican,β said Heather Greene, a 15-year warehouse crew leader at Kellogg. β[But] this isnβt a left or right issue. β¦ Thereβs no place for politics when it comes to a living wage.β
>
>βEven though we arenβt hearing from the elected Republicans, this isnβt about party, and I personally hope that they will see that and β¦ realize that it is OK to support striking workers,β Greene said.
Honestly, Biden needs to speak up. He showed support for Amazon workers in Alabama. Now is the time to speak up for the others. His silence is deafening. Plus talking about Labor and worker power only has upsides to him.
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.

Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.
This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
