A list of puns related to "Paul Waaktaar Savoy"
For weeks I've been thinking she looks familiar, and then a night or two ago I was thinking of one moment in S3 E9 of The Leftovers and suddenly realized: she's Evie! Glad she's getting more work, she was great in that show, and everyone should watch it.
From Twitter with a video. This is so cool and I canβt wait to listen!
I think Savoy is much more important to the story than he seems. There are some interesting real world history connections that I believe inspired many parts of the books.

Poisoning- Simmon is able to identify the plum bob poisoning because Mandrag uses it as an example of the dangers of alchemy. In Mandrag's story, an alchemist used the drug to ruin the lives of several government officials and a countess ran amok, killing a dozen people. In real world history, Olympia Mancini, the Countess of Savoy was also involved in a massive poisoning scandal causing about 50 nobles to be exiled, executed or tortured for their involvement. Christina Maria insisted that the Palazzo was built within yards of the Royal Palace of House Savoy, which is now a university library. Legends say that these two palaces are connected underground through the caves and within these caves are forbidden alchemical powers. But that's not the only mysterious library belonging to the Savoy family. There is also a Savoy mausoleum which was converted into a library, in order to stop people from practicing dark arts inside and holding black masses there.
Religion- Turin is very old and many religions have a history here. Kvothe has many similarites to sun gods like Lugh, and Denna is obviously associated with the mo

We recently started to go to the Savoy Cinema (got to get those Meerkat Movie benefits). I appreciate that it's a pandemic and everything, but it seems a pretty decent cinema, the chairs are comfy Nd everything. Why is it always dead? Do people just prefer to trek out to Vue or Cineworld?
