A list of puns related to "Parishes Of The Church Of Sweden"
I joined a Church that's 30 miles away from me on the East Coast because it has the Latin Mass. I am beginning to only attend this Church because of the reverence and beauty.
It also has the new Mass but it's done in a way that's much more reverent without altar girls, guitars and Eucharistic ministers, etc.
So, I belong to 2 Churches.
Should I formally stop attending the Church that is close to me? It only celebrates the New Mass in the typical irreverent way.
Thanks!
I am young person who is a religious seeker, raised secular, who has grown to love the Eastern Orthodox tradition over several yearsββespecially its liturgyββand have finally found a way to the door of the Orthodox Church and getting to know Orthodox. Because of certain moral dilemmas, I am hesitant to join. I understand that on this sub, there are adherents to Anglicanism (or other traditions) who hold varying positions on Christian morality, and that issues like womenβs ordination and homosexuality/the place of LGBTQ persons within your Church remain fiercely contentious. However, I still recognize and admire your Church for leaving room for this dialogue, and I applaud those within your Church who are inclusive to individuals of all gender and sexual identities especially in the Episcopal Church in the US, where Iβm from. Iβve been having second thoughts about becoming Orthodox because of concern over becoming a member of a Church which I know has also brought pain to many of its members because they donβt conform to its moral standards, and also seems to leave no room for this same level of dialogue on morality.
I donβt know much about the Anglican tradition, and havenβt really been interested in your Church. Unfortunately Iβve developed very specific conceptions of what should constitute βgoodβ liturgy. Despite all the liturgical beauty that might be found within your Church, Iβve still overlooked broad-church Anglican worship as still being too modernistic and akin to todayβs Novus Ordo Catholic mass; all that really appeals to me now are Orthodox worship, traditionalist Catholic worship and [perhaps] certain very-high-church Anglo-Catholic worship forms(?) While I might be open to exploring your Church (but again mainly for very-high-church/Tridentine Mass-equivalent worship), I still feel that Orthodox ritual has no parallel.
Therefore, I am wondering: I know there is at least some interest in establishing an Eastern Rite within the Anglican Communion (see http://www.easternanglicanism.org/about/), but do any of you have information on how this might be progressing? Would the Church be open to establishing an Eastern Rite/admitting Orthodox parishes into communion as a way to provide refuge for lifelong Orthodox or converts who were alienated from Orthodoxy for reasons of personal identity? How feasible is this? Please share your thoughts.

I hope this doesn't come off as a self-plug or opportunistic, I'm simply the guy behind the camera, and hope that our doing this faithfully can serve as a blessing and to keep people rooted in scripture during this unsure time.
