A list of puns related to "Overton, Texas"
The military is very punctual so you should be able to witness the flyover from most parts of Austin. There is no need to be alarmed :) The funeral is open to the public.
Edit: it was at 2pm and they were Choppers. Thanks for the support!

... keep reading on reddit β‘I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

... keep reading on reddit β‘Each of the past two years, I have written some form of this post. It is a post in which I spend some time looking into what I call βbargain binβ free agent options who could potentially fit the Reds. These are the types of deals that generate little buzz at the time but can often make or break a teamβs season at the end of the day. This year, of course, the post comes with a bit more somber tone β and actually a lot more importance β as it seems that bargain bin options are the only options for the Reds this year after two offseasons in which we expected them to spend (and, of course, one in which they actually did and one in which they very much didnβt). As such, I have cast a wider net this year and come up with even more players than usual.
Thus far, we know four main things about the Reds and their offseason: 1) they are cutting payroll (ahemβ¦βaligning resourcesβ); 2) despite this cutting of payroll, they offered SP Andrew Heaney (now the Dodgersβ 1 year, $8.5M man) at least $4M; 3) Sonny Gray is available for trades β and in my mind likely to be moved β but Luis Castillo and Tyler Mahle are not; and, finally, 4) the Reds have needs at backup catcher, a RHH OF, good hitters against LHP generally, and up and down the pitching staff.
I guess, in all, what we can assume about the Redsβ 2022 plans at this point is that they want to compete for the playoffs as much as possible (no comment), but they donβt want to spend extra money to do it (no comment). However, they already offered at least $4M to a bounce-back candidate at a position that is relatively low on the totem pole of needs. So essentially, what I glean from this is that they are willing to spend small sums of money to upgrade the team, but any players making legitimate money will be off the table. Without further ado, I have come up with some cheap options at each position group that I could see the Reds adding to:
The catching market is, in a word, bleak. That is less than ideal for a team that has one MLB catcher at the moment (although it could be worse β the Orioles have zero). In the midst of a bleak and shallow market, it is likely that subpar starters get paid like quality starters, and in the tier behind them, quality backups will get signed to be starters. That leaves the cupboard somewhat bare for teams like the Reds who just need a cheap backup option to throw in when Stephenson needs a day off. There are a number of deeply depressing options out there, but I came

The St. Jude marathon is a fundraising event for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital located in Memphis, TN. Not only do they provide incredible help for sick children and their families, they also leave a special footprint in our little city. While today was a PR for me in the marathon, it's much more important to note that this was also a PR for me in terms of fundraising. So far this year I've raised over $2000 for St. Jude! If you're interested in looking for a worthy cause to donate to and are fortunate enough to have something to spare, I'd highly recommend looking at this organization.
This is my third time running the full marathon at St. Jude. You can read my 2018 report here and my 2019 here. To summarize those two reports I had a massive blowup in 2018 because I didn't respect the distance. In 2019, despite some ankle issues that sidelined me for a few months, I managed to run a PR of 3:27 alongside my cousin. I skipped the virtual race in 2020 but had a goal way in advance to break the 3 hour mark.
The race course changed a fair amount this year - most notably in the fact that we no longer run on Riverside drive (which has a great view of the Mississippi River and a challenging little hill), less time spent downtown, and two loops through Overton Park rather than one. I truly love the St. Jude marathon and will run it every single year I have the ability to, but I hope that race organiz

How the hell am I suppose to know when itβs raining in Sweden?
What brought me here is the new ruling by the Governor of texas, that private companies can't enforce vaccine mandates. Not going into the politics of it, but I came to this sub to see if I could find Dave's opinion, but most of the top posts seem to be against Dave. I gotta say, I used to love Dave for being a 'true centrist'. I used to tell my mates about him and watch his podcast religiously but, to me, he's turned into such an absolute tool; a completely delusional, Alex Jones style egotist who just lands on the political right of every argument. I can predict his views before I hear his comments on a topic. He used to at least pretend that it was because the 'Overton window had shifted' to make his centrist views seem right-wing, but now he seems to me like a fully fledged right-wing loon. Not that there's necessarily anything wrong with the left or right or conservatism. I just feel like he's gone off the deep end. My immediate impression from this sub is that some of you have had a similar experience with regard to Rubin.
I guess the concept didn't work
Ants donβt even have the concept fathers, let alone a good dad joke. Keep r/ants out of my r/dadjokes.
But no, seriously. I understand rule 7 is great to have intelligent discussion, but sometimes it feels like 1 in 10 posts here is someone getting upset about the jokes on this sub. Let the mods deal with it, they regulate the sub.
