I'm confused. I keep seeing these memes with these two kids taking a fan photo with Oscar Nunez, the character from "The Office". Did these kids actually meet Oscar? I'm thinking one of them posted a botched photoshop job and the memes grew from there. Or are they just making fun of the awkwardness of the photo, Oscar's ice cream, strange place and random fans? Some of the memes and comments sound like they are calling out the original poster and the kids in the pics like they may have done something wrong and got caught.
Is anyone else so stoked to see more of him, potentially even SINGING??
I listen to the office ladies podcast and I get teared up when I hear about some of the greatest advice that Steve gives to people. So in gay witch hunt, Oscars character threatens to quit but Jan offers him a 3 month paid vacation instead. Oscar actually got a green light for an improv show he wanted and was scared that he wouldn't get to stay with the office, and would ultimately have to choose between them. He asked Steve what he should do and he said with all his glory, "Say yes to everything, and let your people figure it out." That's what he did and this episode was the result.
This resonates with me so hard as I've been a person who really believes that you miss 100% of the shots you don't take. Remember to never settle and always do better for yourself! We don't deserve Steve. Feel free to delete this if it was already posted before.

The whole episode is about how the show hasn’t won any awards, throughout the episode the characters take jabs at themselves, joking about why they are unappealing to wide audiences.
When they visit the other bar, this is a representation of more commercial tv shows which are more appealing to the masses.
So is it just a coincidence that Oscar from extremely successful tv show the office shows up in this episode?
