* Condition: Have worn these a number of times but still in very good condition. Have been conditioned with VSC a few months ago. This is, hands down, the best chromexcel clicking I've ever seen. No grain break.

Is it much better than the Orion and I should wait? Or should I go for the Orion that's available now? His bday is June 16

I decided this year I wanted a telescope for Christmas. I did some research and based on my beginner level and budget this one seemed to be a match. My husband bought this telescope for me and it was delivered yesterday! I’m a newbie and was wondering if anyone has any tips for me? I took it out last night but really couldn’t see much. I also read you need to do it in the daytime to get a feel for it and make sure it’s in focus. I don’t have any other lenses besides what it came with but my plan is to buy more. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!
They don’t want to get a barlow too expensive and they don’t want it to cost more than 75 dollars. The focal length of the XT6 is 1200mm because I heard that it was important for deciding on what barlow to get. They are also just starting in astronomy, so any tips would be appreciated.
