Welcome to Part 2 of the 2021/22 Eredivisie Preview (Read Part 1 here). We last went through some exciting clubs who will be battling for top, get a complete reboot, and promoted from the second division. In this part, we...talk about all those things again, although its applicable for different clubs this time around. With all that said, let's finish this preview.

At time of writing, the transfer market is still open so there's a good chance some of this will be outdated in just a couple weeks.

NEC had been trying to get out of the KKD swamp for a couple of years now, but despite having plenty of exciting talent and the return of Edgar Barreto, promotion seemed once again off the table, but they did qualify for the promotion playoffs and decided that's where they would peak. After soundly beating Almere City and Roda JC, it was NAC Breda who awaited them in the final. Right before the end it was Jonathan Okita who scored a late winner and send NEC back to the Eredivisie after 4 seasons in the KKD.

u/J00stie: Up until the play offs, it was a terrible season. NEC had been stuck in the KKD for 3 years already and the so called '5 year plan' was not working out yet. NEC lost way too many points against weaker teams. We made it in to the play offs quite early on because the gap was too big with the clubs lower in the table, but the football stayed very dull. Then the play offs started and all of the problems magically vanished. Somehow our forwards started scoring goals and everyone gave their all. We very surprisingly got promoted back to the highest level. I hadn't be so happy in a long time.

THIS SEASON

They say money can't buy you happiness, but having a rich sugardaddy does have its benefits, like being able to get players that seem out of your league. Thanks to Marcel Boekhoorn, NEC has been able to sign players Cambuur and Go Ahead can only dream of. This has led to the signing of some interesting players, as well as the return of Lasse Schone to the Nijmegenaren. Of course, that squad still needs to come together, but in terms of qual

For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
