A list of puns related to "Office For Students"
I wasnβt sure what the best sub to post this in would be, but I wanted to get the word out! My wife is a teacher and is required to have Microsoft Office on her laptop. We bought her a new laptop for the school year and, while at Best Buy, the salesman was telling us that the only way to get Office was through the yearly subscription. I thought that didnβt sound right, so I decided to do some digging. Sure enough, if you go to https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/education/products/office and have a valid school email address you can get Microsoft Office free, for the duration of your schooling or teaching career!
Hope this helps all the teachers and students out there!
Edit: A few people have also recommended LibreOffice, which is another free program, thought Iβd go ahead and provide the link to that as well!

My campus has all classes going online. There are a bunch of other weird services but as a TA I felt being proactive and making a twitch account to help my students would be best.
I do however want to tutor on twitch as well as the medium is perfect IMO. Itβs hard to find an educational channel without a directory for it. Just chatting doesnβt quite cover it
Edit: If twitch wants to get involved and brainstorm with me chemtutortwitch@gmail.com I have so many ideas lol
Edit2: chemtutor is the twitch channel if you are a student thereβs a survey Iβd love more data for !
I'm repeatedly amazed at how students have a hard time wrapping their heads around the concept of office hours. I tell them repeatedly in class, and I have it in my syllabus: This is a block of time that I am available to meet with students. No appointment necessary, just walk on in. Then every week it's the same thing--my office hours are completely dead. But then of course I'll get a dozen emails from students asking questions, and I'll tell them, "come to my office hours so we can discuss this." And either they won't reply, or they'll reply, "okay, are you available at 1:30 today?" No, I am not. My office hours are available on the syllabus. If I say come to my office hours, I mean come to my office hours. But it's like students don't even see the word "hours" and think I'm saying "come to my office." And of course, if a student is not available during my regularly scheduled office hours, then I'm happy to arrange an alternate meeting time, but it's grating that students don't recognize "office hours" as a designated time that I've set aside for their questions.
Well if you are a university student you are probably facing this problem, but I got two solutions for you.
PS: This tutorial is for beginners like me. Probably users will say a lot of things against ms office, but if you are a student you have to adjust with your local library set doc format, which will be dependent on ms office. So, take a deep breath and lets start.
First option: WPS office. Why? Well, its the one which best suited me in many aspects which are more similar to ms office and doesn't unset the doc format.
Step one: download and stall: https://www.wps.com/
Steps two: open your Linux terminal and type this commands:
sudo su
sudo apt install msttcorefonts
Thats it, your docs will probably be very similar to office ms. But if you still have some problems, see the seccond option. If you need more help on these steps check this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k3R58a0cg0Y
Seccond option: Office 365 online.
Why? Well, it`s free for students and you will have no problems at all with unset formats. Even better, your documents will always be on cloud, so its always saved for you. Believe me, you can adapt to use office on your browser and having everything on cloud is safe from losing it on crashed pendrives. Lets start:
Step one: Make an institutional email on your educational institution. You will need it to prove that you are an actual student.
Step two: put your institutional student email and log in with it to this ms link: https://www.microsoft.com/pt-br/education/students
step three: Wait for ms office email you, normally it took less than 24 hours.
Well, it's simple, but these simple steps took me from fully migrating to Linux for almost a year when I finally discovered all these possibilities. I wish it help you someway.

(You'll likely find that there are very few messages that can't wait 1 more hour for a response.)
EDIT: the word is "monopolize." I feel really dumb for forgetting it lol.
~$1000 USD (in the us) but this flexible
Thank you!! :)
It seems like Warren's students are really cool elected officials (*cough* Katie Porter *cough*). Who else is in office or running for office?
Just sharing this for all the new students that might have missed it in the flood of new information. I personally like using OneDrive for PC to back up all my stuff, but our Google Drive storage is also unlimited sooooo just don't lose your stuff!

... keep reading on reddit β‘Usually, the loan provider/your school gives you up to 14 days after the day they disburse your loans to refund them and when you refund, they don't collect the full amount you borrowed. Instead, they let you keep around $50-$150 depending on how much you received from the loans.
