A list of puns related to "Nutcracker Ballet"
Has anyone seen any Nutcrackers? Seems like Sara Mearns of NYCB is injured. Has anyone read Megan Fairchild's book? Will anyone watch Joy Womack's documentary?
This might be weird, but I have a huge amount of anxiety when it comes to going places. I have tickets to go see it tonight, and my sister wants to go all out. She went dress shopping with me and bought fancy Christmas dresses.
Basically I'm worried I'll be overdressed! I really didn't want to dress up in the first place, and now I'm just getting cold feet because I dont know if other people will be dress up.
Can anyone tell me what the crowds usually wear? I tried to look up photos, but they are all obviously of the show, not the audience
Never seen it beforeβ¦ curious on if itβs worth checking out before Christmas!
Since Omicron has been rapidly spreading, many venues, schools, employers etc around the nation have been responding by closing down for safety. New York City canceled their Nutcracker ballet performances, so I was wondering if anyone here knows what the probability is that Madison Ballet will cancel their remaining Nutcracker performances? I'm kicking myself for not buying a ticket for the opening day performance instead of one of the last days!
Just saw the "new" version of the Nutcracker last night at Cobb. Beautiful...just beautiful. Those dancers are incredible.
My eyesight isn't what it used to be, but it looked like some dancers had masks on. Is that the case? If so, are they special masks that don't look too obvious?
I'm not pro or anti-mask. Just asking out of curiosity bc I swear some looked like there was some kind of covering. My kids said I'm seeing things, and they're probably right. Lol
Also, is it even possible to dance with a typical covid-type mask? How do you get enough air to breathe?
Anyways, it was a stunning performance. At least to someone like me who has only seen his kids doing ballet in community recitals. :)

My 4yr loves everything dance but can be kind of hyperactive. I'm thinking about getting tickets to the nutcracker this year but I don't want to upset anyone if she gets too fidgety and we need to bail early. I'm thinking we get back row tickets for a 2pm Saturday performance. Are there more kids then? She will most likely be mesmerized by the performance but I want to plan just in case. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!
Silly question but, do people dress up for this occasion? I am going for the first time this year and wondered if it is a casual or dressy event.
EDIT: SOLD! MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Hi all, I have 2 tickets to this Sunday's sold out performance of The Nutcracker by the Los Angeles Ballet. I unfortunately can no longer make it so I'm selling it a little less than what I got them for - $150 for the pair. It's at Dolby Theatre at 11 AM. Pic of where you'll be sitting
Can provide further proof of tickets - I take Venmo, PayPal, and Zelle. I got it will-call so I can transfer directly to you through TM and you can pick up the physical tix at the box office! Great Christmas gift idea/experience - DM me or comment if interested!
Going to see the nutcracker for the first time. How much time does one need to give prior to the start time? Is 30 minutes ok?
Itβs a really big collection
