Nrl Player Name Puns

As the title says, as pre-season fever seems to be picking up around here i thought this would be a bit of fun.

I'll start- Garry Lo. He seemed to catch peoples eyes in the WC.

Can anyone explain this to me. It's always annoyed me, I think it would be way easier to quickly put names to faces.

Throughout the competition over the last 2 decades, we’ve seen players transform clubs and change the way teams perform and are perceived in the context of the NRL. So in saying that, who do you believe has had the biggest impact on your club? And why? I think most Souths fans would agree that Roy Asotasi is hands down the most important player we’ve signed, even above Surgess. He believed in the club and acted as a catalyst for other big names to express interest in the club and brought much needed leadership, aggression and professional to the club.

Well wasn't that a fun year free of controversy?

These awards focus more on the NRL competition itself rather than the /r/NRL community.

Players

The highest upvoted player in each position will make the team of the year. In cases where a position has two players in a team (wingers, props, etc.) the top two players will make the final team.
