A list of puns related to "Northern Illinois University"
From everything I've seen, an econ degree is good because it encompasses a lot of different things, but its difficult if i don't know exactly what you plan to do with it. I also heard that an econ degree from a typical state university is pretty worthless, which concerns me because i am currently in one, and plan to graduate from it. So is it worth the effort?

Note that i dont actually have anything specific in mind for what id like to do. It isnt really my passion, but i find econ interesting. Something like financial analyst, working at a bank in investments, or maybe even government policy sound pretty fun and interesting to me.

I hope it isn't like computer science where I am told its a good degree from google, but actual people on reddit will tell me its worthless. My brother got a computer science job with no degree whatsoever, so that doesn't help my confidence.
From everything I've seen though, an econ degree is good because it encompasses a lot of different things, but its difficult if i don't know exactly what you plan to do with it. For context about me, the things I'm passionate in don't make money. I enjoy economics because its interesting, so i chose it as my major. I was originally going to do statistics, which has given me ptsd, so i changed. I don't know exactly what i plan to do with it, but something like financial analyst, working at a bank, or generating government policy all sound good to me.
Thanks guys!
