You may remember earlier in the season when Kirk Herbstreit, while ranting about Wake being overrated, made a comment about "all 6 of the Wake fans being upset at him." You may not remember. But Dave Clawson certainly does. In his weekly press conference, while discussing the ACC CG ticket allotment Wake sold out yesterday, he said an "ESPN journalist said we only have six fans so we gave you six tickets" (Tweet)
He doubled down on this in response to an article from The Athletic about Bowls not wanting Wake because we only have 40 fans by saying they upped it to 40 once we sold those. (Tweet)
The actual numbers were 5500 and then 3500 more.
I know we're in full-on F5 season, but coaches dunking in press conferences is always a good time. I'll update this with a timestamped link to the video when it gets posted
Farnham and I do a deep dive into the state of college basketball, how the NIL is changing the way the media covers college athletes and discuss whether conference realignment is destroying traditional geographical rivalries. Give it a listen let me know what you think.
