A list of puns related to "North American Open"
In light of recent public discussion and attempts by members of government to admit DC and Puerto Rico as states, as well as the 244th anniversary of the independence of the United States, I believe now is an appropriate time to make public my plans for realizing our clear destiny of Canadian annexation to our union.
Step 1: Appetizer
In order to annex Canada significant groundwork must first be laid clandestinely. US foreign intelligence services should use all means at their disposal to sow discord between Quebec and the greater Canadian "nation". The aim being to promote Quebec separatism, eventually forcing a second third independence referendum and the unilateral declaration of Quebec independence from Canada. Great care should be taken to ensure this divorce is as messy and diplomatically destructive as possible. It is extremely important the newly independent Quebec and Canada are on adversarial footing.
At this point the Maritime provinces of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edwards Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador, now separated from the distant capital by an hostile foreign power, will be eager to seek both the protection of the benevolent United States and our cash bribes. We should admit the provinces as one state forming the seventh member of New England.
Step 2: EntrΓ©e
Now the arcane structures of the Canadian government will do our bidding for us. Seats in the lower chamber of the Canadian parliament, the House of Commons, are apportioned among the provinces based on population. Further, Canadian law specifies seats in the Senate are divided among the provinces via a set formula. 24 seats are given to Ontario; 24 to Quebec; 24 to the Maritime provinces excluding Newfoundland and Labrador; 6 to each Western provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba (plus 6 to Newfoundland and Labrador); and finally, one seat to each of the Northern territories of Nunavut, the Northwest Territories, and the Yukon.
With the independence of Quebec and the American annexation of the Maritime provinces, Ontario will now hold a majority of Canadian population, giving the province control of the House of Commons. Alberta, already suffering under the yoke of western alienation, will eagerly wish admission to the United States.
The annexation of Alberta will have two important consequences. One, to give Ontario an outright majority in the Senate, solidifying its control over the national government. And two, separate Brit

This makes it highly unlikely that Wonder Woman will keep its June 5th release date (or that itβll launch the summer movie season). Studios and exhibitors will want a guinea pig to test the waters when business resumes.
In other words, I think we found the perfect release date for New Mutants.

This is a bit of a weird title, but bear with me.
A recent study has done a massive reclassification of North American Holocene equine, and concluded that most species are actually part of Equus ferus (supplementary source for those who are interested), species that is the Eurasian "wild" horse (this also includes the domestic horse, so it's a bit of a misnomer IMO). This means that mustangs in North America are a case of accidental Holocene rewilding, which is kind of mind blowing.
But what about the mustangs? There a lot of reports on mustangs doing ecological harm in areas they frequent. What's the cause for this? It's important to note that mustangs are large, social, and aggressive. This makes them very ill-suited for predation for our extant species (cougars, wolves, and the odd brown bear). North American horses would've been preyed on by American lions, dire wolves, short-faced bears, jaguars (the extant "subspecies" hasn't made it North enough to hunt mustangs), saber-toothed cats (both species, because E. ferus actually went to South America!), and perhaps even American cheetahs. These are predators that would've been much better suited for tackling mustangs. The lack of regulation through predation can definitely explain why mustangs have been noted as doing more harm than good.
What are you thoughts on using mustangs for rewilding?

94 elite competitors have been invited to compete in the North American Championships after conquering their local Regions around the continent. But there is one more chance to net an invite to this exclusive group: the Open Qualifier!
On Friday evening, at several outdoor locations around Grant Park, the Arena will be hosting special tournaments (under Rainbow Cup rules) that will offer an additional weighted Cup for the month of June and, more importantly, a chance to compete in the Championships.
RSVP - Space is limited!
After our initial venue for the Open fell through, the Arena has opted to host multiple tournaments in the parks adjacent to Grant. Notably, due to Chicago Parks' permitting restrictions, the Arena cannot gather in groups larger than 50 persons. So here's what competitors need to know:
If most of the top European players skip and don't show up at USO, do you think that these guys will have their time to shine? They've been playing good this year pre-pandemic, Opelka winning Delray Beach, Raonic playing exceptional at AO, etc.
That would be sick
