With Crockett expanding its schedule to compete with most of the remaining old NWA territories, there are talks of a โnewโ NWA forming. Several promoters are talking about the possibility. At the forefront is Floridaโs Duke Keomuka, who is trying to get the Pacific Northwest, Central States (Bob Geigel is bringing it back as an independent entity on March 1, yโall), Continental, and WCCW offices to join up with him. If history teaches us anything, cooperation is not something wrestling promoters are good at, so Dave doesnโt see anything substantial happening. Sure, they could trade talent and recognize a single world champion and assist each other against threatening WWF/JCP/UWF cards, but looking at what Florida/PNW/WCCW/Continental/Central States have, itโs not much. If Florida needs help running a show against Crockett, what in the world can PNW/Central States even offer? And no way will Fritz Von Erich get involved if they donโt recognize Kevin as the world champ, but would he really be willing to send Kevin to Kansas City for a show with only 200 people? Daveโs skeptical about anything real coming out of this, but he does figure weโre likely to see some talent trades between Florida and Alabama and maybe Brody and Kevin Von Erich will work the Florida territory now and again.
Wrestlemania hype is in full gear now that Andre vs. Hogan has officially been announced. Dave should have a complete card

The wrestling war is, for all intents and purposes, over. The war between the territories, the ongoing collapse of the territory system, and Vince McMahonโs rise is certainly the biggest story in decades, and at this point the war is over and Vince McMahon has won. Sure, the fighting is still ongoing, but even if JCP can recover from their troubles, the gap between them and WWF is there and itโs just going to keep widening.
The biggest story of the week is that WWF has announced its ppv schedule for the next year. March 27 (Wrestlemania IV), August 29, November 24 (Survivor Series), and January 15 (Royal Rumble). Four ppvs doesnโt look like a big deal, just capitalization on the market trend. But itโs going to have a major effect on Crockett. Crockett had been planning ppv shows in early April (Crockett Cup), July (Great American Bash), and November 24 (Starrcade). With WWFโs new calendar and the exclusivity clause in their ppv deals requiring no competing wrestling ppv events 60 days before and 21 days after their shows and the success of Survivor Series and Wrestlemania IV (presumed for that one - Dave expects Wrestlemania IV to be the biggest grossing ppv ever to this point), WWF is putting the squeeze to Crockett. And in doing so, they
I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
I am using games like WWE2k19, 2k20, and Fire Pro Wrestling World to simulate and play through the WWF's PPV's and other events. The outcomes will be different thus forcing me to change story lines. Let me know what you think. This issue covers Wrestlemania III (I know the title is messed up on the last post) to Wrestlemania IV. The Hogan versus Andre feud.

So below I have a table giving every women's match in WWE history to ever rate 3+ stars in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. For the purposes of this count, a women's match is defined as any match with a woman as a legal participant, including mixed and intergender matches, as well as those Royal Rumbles where women entered. The ratings are Meltzer's, and as always are his subjective opinion.
Last time I did this list, I did not have the Oakland JBA vs. Glamour Girls match. That came up in the course of direct archive research (it wasn't on any of the sites that compile ratings), and due to the direct language (he usually cites reported ratings with phrases like "said to be X stars" or "we've heard X stars") and the close proximity to where Dave was living, I believe this is a rating from Dave and not a reported rating from a correspondent. Neat.
Year | number (number ignoring intergender and mixed) | Participants | Event | Star rating | Notes |

Or would that be too forward thinking?
Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.
This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.
I won't be doing that today!

D1 | Dino Bravo def. Koko B. Ware | Singles match | 90% | 11:31 | Koko B. Ware and Dino Bravo mixed it up in the Dark Match. Fans loved this one as they were still filing into the stands. Bravo has been a good heel in the past few months, working an Anti-American gimmick with the Rougeaus. These two delivered a great match. Dino wins with a Shoulder Breaker. |
2 | The Brain Busters (Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard) (w/Bobby Heenan) def. The Hart Foundation (Bret Hart and Jim Neidhart) | Tag team match | 91% | 28:23 | The Brain Busters have been on a winning streak since their loss at Wrestlemania. Arn and Tully have set their eyes on the Tag Titles again and will go through The Hart Foundation to get them. Fans loved this opener. Arn and Bret looked so good in that ring. However, it was Tully that got the win over Jim Neidhart with a Piledriver. |
3 | Dusty Rhodes def. The Honky Tonk Man (w/Jimmy Hart) | Singles match | 100% | 15:43 | Dusty Rhodes exploded onto the WWF scene in 1989 embroiled in a feud with The Honky Tonk Man. Both would cut tremendous promos on each other and fans couldn't wait to see these two clash. The match itself was tremendous. Dusty and Honky bumped everywhere. Dusty even got in a little Shake, Rattle, and Roll then hit the Bionic Elbow for the 1,2,3. |
4 | The Red Rooster def. The Blue Blazer | Singles match | 97% | 11:32 | The Blue Blazer has started to get less-and-less popular with the crowds. Newcomer Terry Taylor may have some tricks up his sleeve. The crowd loved his character and liked seeing him beat The Blazer around the ring. Rooster picks up the win with an Arm Drag... what the hell. |
5 | The Rockers (Marty Jannetty and Shawn Michaels) and Tito Santana def. The Fabulous Rougeaus (Jacques Rougeau and Raymond Rougeau) and Rick Martel | Six-man tag team match | 87% | 14:58 | *Strike Force is no more! I know everyone is sad about that.
