A list of puns related to "Non Toxic"
My son is four years old and really likes to wear my makeup and it has to have colors because he wants to look βprettyβ. I donβt have a problem at all with him wearing makeup and Iβm totally supportive of breaking gender norms.
My concern is that I recently saw a study about the chemicals in makeup being absorbed through the skin. For what itβs worth, he mainly just wants to wear eyeshadow and blush, but Iβm guessing these still have those chemicals, but I canβt really find out.
Anyway, I see that there are advertised non-toxic makeup for kids, but are these really non-toxic? Has anyone had to look into this with their own kids?
Iβm open to any opinions/facts about the toxicity of makeup. I am not open to opinions about whether my son should be allowed to wear makeup due to his gender.
Thanks!
Recently got into Apex and I'm trying to learn how to be better and get a feel for the game but the usual way of watching top streamers is just not working in Apex because they all seem to be assholes.
ImperialHal is a kid that gets mad at fucking everyone except himself. I get it, he might be better then people on his team but it's just cringy to watch him berate them at every opportunity. I tried watching him a few times and he does this consistently and constantly.
Shiv is also loved by many but listening to him whine for 20 minutes about how his pub teammates are garbage (plus other colorful expletives) because he died in the open field during a 1v1 got annoying very fast.
The way I see it Apex as a game has the best mechanisms to minimize "bad teammates" impact on your game: max three people in your team (OW 6, Dota 5 etc.), three "lives" during a match (normal, downed, banner), movement mechanics plus legends skills allow you to separate teams and plentiful & fast personal healing items give you a chance to reset after every opponent in a 1v3.
So why are they so angry all the time? When other games have way bigger problem, yet still their top streamers are way more civil and mature? Is it indicative of the whole playerbase?
If you are prone to tilting and raging at video games just ignore this guide as it's not for you. XVM doesn't have to introduce negativity but it sure can amplify it!
0. What is XVM?
XVM AKA "eXtended Visualization Mod" is a mod allows you to see a player's stats while in battle (it also offers some QoL improvements but a lot of those have been properly added to the game). It is a useful tool that has had a very poor reputation within the community for a long time. I think that this is a shame as XVM can make you a better, more situationally aware player. Instead of using XVM to think less and make quick assumptions you should use it to be more analytical and think more. If you want to know how then continue. I will make some assumptions as to your knowledge on certain topics but if you have any questions feel free to ask.
1. Why XVM?
But before I start, a word of warning! Using the "Winrate Calculator" is moronic and should be avoided. It's the most toxic aspect of XVM and in actuality it is very misleading. The reason why should become obvious later on. Also XVM stats should always be taken with a grain of salt! Use your brain and look at the way a player is behaving not just the colour of their stats. Now that that's out of the way let's talk about what XVM can do for you.
The reason why you use XVM is to get a rough estimate on the skill level of your enemies and you allies. Armed with this knowledge you can make more informed decisions on whether it's safe to depend on an ally, whether it's wise to push a certain flank or take an enemy on 1v1.
As an of using XVM for decision making we can assume that good players or players with a lot battles (and thus credits) are more likely to spam gold, run food, use bond equipment and they may have all the field mods unlocked. In that case you should avoid a 1v1 unless you have backup.
XVM should also benefit new players as paying attention to the positioning of experienced players and following them around is a decent way to improve your game knowledge. Even if you aren't new you can learn from your mistakes. Unicum light tank spots you from a weird bush? Copy them next time.
2. Gathering Information
This is the colour scheme that I use. Just looking at the the WN8/WR is going to do you no good unless it's red or purple. Anything in between is debatable! Reason being that players improve faster than their overall stats. Those first few thousand g

However, in more or less any male-centric work, the characters are either misogynists or the female characters are treated badly or poorly characterised. If the characters are relatable/tolerable/realistic, then they're queer. And I've sort of run out of queer male movies.
Any recs for works with decent male characters? By positive, I don't mean perfect characters. Flawed, interesting, realistic - you get the picture.

Bumi was the first son of the Avatar and one of the strongest waterbenders in the world(and best healer) him being born as non-bender put a lot of pressure on him and made him feel like a disappointment, despite all this he became a respected General of the United Nations and never give up in trying to show his value always at the front with his crazy personality, in the episode were the three siblings look for Ikki they show us who he truly is behind his personality, a man doing his best, latter we see Bumi is surprisingly a spiritual sensitive person and probably more spiritually friendly than his own air bender brother which made his character extra interesting. They show us he could be amazing without being a bender (what society expect him to be) and in Kyaβs words Aang would be proud.
Then they threw all that away by making him a bender in book 3, and contradicted what his character represented and made him what society expect him to be, you could say βyeah but at least he is happyβ which while true still is a somewhat toxic message.
And they also ruined the childβs of Aang and Katara being like the original Team Avatar.
Despite not being very active in this sub its cool to see a non toxic genshin character sub, the only other one I've been active in is hu tao mains where people called it "an insult to hu tao" that I was using dragonsbane instead of homa (despite my db ratio beating their homa ratio π) but its pretty cool to see a sub where basically any weapon/ build is welcome and no toxicness... especially on the sub of my favourite character :D !
I didn't realise how bad my America counterparts have it over there. In movies, tv shows and songs on the radio they make out like its the place to be and they always advertise "The American Dream" where everything is better there. So without further adieu here is my bullet point list I noticed since joining this subreddit:
- Businesses of services such as restaurants and bar are legally not required to pay you a living wage say $20-30 an hour plus penalty rates for working after 5pm on weekends of public holidays, but instead only pay you $2 an hour and tips by customer are meant to pay 95% of your wage.
-Bosses can fire you for no reason and there is nothing you can do about it, seen some posts on here that if you touch x supervisors chair you will be fired. In Australia for example they have a government department that focuses on unfair dismissal which you can sue the workplace for mental and financially distress.
-Annual leave, Ive seen people saying they only get 5 days per year for annual leave and how their annual leave does not roll over and you cannot save them up for a few years, and your boss will steal them away from you if you dont use them and will not pay you out the annual leave you work for. In Australia the standard is 4 weeks plus public holidays if your in shift work that gets extended to sometimes 5-6 weeks per year.
- Big brands do not care about you and will rather you loose your life than come back and be safe when mother nature is literally ripping thru the suburbs.
- The health system, I had no idea its cheaper to die then to get fixed up at hospital I've seen crazy hospital bills in the mid 6 figures which are not covered by your tax system? Are your hospitals not part of the government and run privately? Also giving borth to a child is like $50,000 each time?
- Bosses putting up signs that you cannot use the work power points to charge your phones as your "stealing" electricy is that really a thing or is that like a "Friday prank" thing to make people laugh in the workplace? Along with you cannot have leave leftovers or food that expires within a day and company will just throw it away.
-Workers are expected to work 70hrs a week with no overtime pay but only get min wage and when they ask for a raise they get a "no" or a slap in the face 50 cents rasie per hr.
There is probably I missed that others can add to this list but those are the ones that are burnt in my brain when I think of the American Dream.
I'm trying to play league, on different seasons, I'm between gold5-silver1; everygame i play i'm nice to people, I say "thank you :)", "cool move", "let's help mid", "thanks for holding", and when people make mistakes i don't point it out but instead try to focus on the next objective. And I try really hard.
But 99% of the games, I meet with total toxic teammates, who, for some reason, they hate their teammembers more then the enemy team ;|
So my question is this: Where to look for non-toxic team players and team up with them? I would like to have good communication with people, but I noticed that in lol, the more you communicate, the more you are on the spot for toxic players and then they just trashtalk on you.
I feel so sick, I canβt stop trembling from the anxiety. I feel so stupid for trusting someone with a part of my life that for obvious reasons is very private. For 7 years we were friends for. I canβt even fathom what I would do if something were to happen.
Hi all,
This is a throwaway as this isnβt my proudest moment and wish to remain anon. I know this community jumps to the snappy one liners and condescending comments first but I would like to kindly ask you to hold back and provide something meaningful. This post applies to many people and industries in Calgary. Iβm really alone with zero support right now and just doing the best I can.
Iβve been trying to find work in a relatively non stressful environment after working for 10 years in O&G and being bullied constantly in my last position. This happens more often than people are willing to admit to and people are expected to suffer in silence or toughen up. I myself will not put myself back into that culture just for money.
So although I have been in counselling and feel Iβve made great progress, I still am finding so many Calgarians are so prone to gossip and complaining instead adulting and dealing with issues head on. Iβve been told that this is more common in a corporate culture. Since I have made progress that I am extremely proud of (especially since covid has been a different kind of beast to deal with at the same time) I am looking for a culture where they donβt just preach inclusivity and respect, but actually practice it. Iβm so tired of hearing things like βBob got drunk at the Christmas party 5 years agoβ and we still talk about it regularly. Just do your jobs, guys.
Iβm willing to go back to school or upgrade but just looking for some options that have worked for other Calgarians.
Please be considerate with your replies. Others here need the same advice and your honesty is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Fait play to most of the playerbase of this game. I've been playing for the last 6 weeks or so and I'm a lowly lvl 53 that just wants to mine resources. Today I've encountered my first dick player. Level 1150ish player just taking any workshop I tried to use then stole what little stuff I had. I'm so fuming that I had to rage quit
This is an opinion piece, related to behaviors on both sides that are considered toxic, in as neutral a manner as I am able to provide. I'll be providing a definition for each according to what I am aware, please do correct me if I get anything wrong, and do let me know if I should add anything to either side.
I feel I must preface this with an observation: this will only be related to player behavior and will try to steer clear of game mechanics. By that I mean that I will not be listing any Perks/Items, it is my personal opinion that players should be able to bring whatever they want (be it Boon totems or NOED), and that it doesn't make the gameplay inherently toxic, even if it limits the other side's options. This is a PvP game, people will inevitably bring whatever gives them an advantage over the other side.
So, let's start.
Toxic Behaviors in Survivors:
Hi all,
I joined wattpad roughly two weeks ago, and have enjoyed it in certain aspects. However, I quickly noticed it is plagued by young, immature, toxic users. Everyone simply reaches out for you to follow them, or vote for them, but no one actually reads your stuff or has any interest in ever doing so.
I also recently have become the target of a gang of twelve year olds bullying and harassing my page accusing me of plagiarism, which has honestly been the last straw for me on this toxic garbage dump of a site. Apologies to anyone who actually enjoys it.
Does anyone have any suggestions for a better site that is filled with more adults than children, and for people who are serious about writing - not just fanfics about getting humped by a werewolf?
I've looked across the internet and this subreddit but can't seem to find an exact answer. Everybody just says cast iron. We already have a cast iron that's great for meat, but I'm looking specifically for a deepish pan that I can cook things like curry, bolognese in etc. So I can fry the meat in there, spices and sauces (chopped tomatoes etc which you're not meant to put in to cast iron pans). I was thinking ceramic but then I've heard stainless steel are good too? It's all a bit confusing.
I also use a mini pan for frying eggs most days. Is a small cast iron good for eggs? I currently have a Tefal one but the non stick has gone already and I've recently learnt about their toxic coating so I'm keen to move away from any toxic coatings in any pans.
It feels like recruiting, HR and long-drawn interview processes are those kinds of bullshit jobs that bring nothing of value to the company or economy and are just designed to torture people by filtering out people randomly.
Just had to preface the title with how non-toxic MIL is since my relationship with my own mother is a dumpster fire, and I read a lot of stories here about pushy boundary crossing MILs. My MIL has 7 other grandkids and she is phenomenal with them. Her normal routine is to come stay after their birth to help the parents, and I hear she's very helpful. She also enjoys it quite a bit.
She's asked to do the same thing with us but I've asked my partner to push off her visit until a few weeks to a month after birth because I don't know MIL that well (partner and I been together on and off for only a few years) and I'm an introverted and private person (I'm not ready for a stranger to watch me breastfeed, watch my PPD emotional rollercoaster, all my hair falling out, and all the other glamorous things that happen PP.
Since she's wonderful, and my partner has a great relationship with her, and she's helpful, I want to balance their needs with mine. What's a good time frame to invite her to visit post birth given all these factors? Ideally I'd like to push off the visit as far into the future as I can get away with but I'm wondering if an extra set of hands during the first month will be very helpful and not to be shrugged off since I'm not going to count on my own mother for that support.
I just finished the show, I loved it so much that it's become one of my absolute favorites.
Yet there are flaws, some major flaws for me and i just want to vent them outside to let in my memories just the rest of the awesomeness of the show.
So that's it: say what you feel you didn't like without being an ass with people you don't agree with. Be lamentous and nitpicking. Also go full Spoiler.
If you don't like this thread, just leave.
I'll start.
some things felt rushed: Jayce development and Vi relationship with Caitlyn for example.
clichΓ©s: that's the most bothersome. I feel like it's due to the fact that it's inspired by a videogame, where you need a quick and recognizable characterization for your characters. But it's there, all the characters are masterfully developed clichΓ©. The story too lacks originality. Luckily it's so well made that I could gloss over it.
It's your turn. Have fun.
Thanks for all of the contacts! :D
I was told from another group that maybe there's recommendations here for what I'm looking for.
I recently found out those products that are water resistant, stain proof are sprayed with a chemical that's known to be toxic. Id rather not have that in my house, so now I'm looking for other furniture thats easy to clean because kids. I'm looking for a light color couch like gray and white. And obviously not toxic. The other thing is I'm not a leather couch fan but again if it's really nice I'll consider it. Not fake leather tho because from my experience it cracks and peels and kids will jump and such on it no doubt and ruin it faster than it's worth.
I don't have really have a budget if I really like it and think it's that amazing and worth it I am someone who will save up and buy it.
Add your non-toxic positive interactions with players! Personally I have met so many ransoms that i now am in discord servers with having great times.
Last night even i ran into a toxic player, really disappointed me by his sore winning (1300 elo). Afterwards I decided to jump right back into the ladder. The next opponent actually paused the game and talked about the situation with me after i expressed how my last game went horrible. Supper nice dude, and even after he won still stuck around to talk starts! This is what makes this game fun! Share your stories so that we can remember what makes this game community amazing.
Hindsight is 20/20.
Just so I do not come off as TOXIC.. I am still playing Battlefield at least once a day and still enjoy it. I like the maps, I like the gameplay and all of that stuff. But the question I just cannot understand or even begin to wrap my head around, is given the state of this game and the level of negativity it has caused, why in the hell is DICE/EA and everyone involved not talking??? No updates, not even the slightest effort has been made to salvage fans/customers minds going forward into the new year.
I am still hopeful for a comeback in 2022 but the amount of time I am spending playing the game is going down rather than going up. just makes no sense.
When somebody beats you with toxicity while you're playing nice, then rematches and gets demolished because you chose to play toxic back. That's catharsis.
I'm talking to you, whoever was playing that dogshit side b spamming ridley.

I've been on a lose streak recently, there's probably multiple reasons, and one is of course me not playing well. I'm struggling with depression, and it's making my gameplay really bad. I can't help but focus on and feel like I lose every game. It feels like there's nothing I can do and there's no point in living.
I want to know how you can play competitive and not have a care in the world about your performance or your teammates. I feel like that's something I've been missing in the 1.5k hours I sunk into Overwatch.
Or should I stick is super glue?
