A list of puns related to "Non Elective"
As the title says, I am applying for next years match, looking at my low scores I donβt think I would be a competitive candidate for IM,which was my goal initially. So what would be a better game plan for the next few months.my aim is to get matched somewhere 1)go for Im related unpaid research positions and finish step 3 by December
2)do 3-4 months of pediatric externships and build a strong pediatric profile. I just donβt want to go unmatched. Thank you and please advise me.
Iβm missing an elective but I donβt want to take any other science related course Iβm so sick of it π· so any recommendations? Fun/interesting courses? Thx!
I'm class of 26 and I'm kinda worried about being overloaded without time to do any classes that aren't engineering related. Is this difficult to do as a Pratt student?
y'all know of any fun and easy non-business electives? I'm def taking ling 101, not sure what else
I was researching about it instead of studying for my finals and I just got more confused as I read McGill's website. My question applies to any and all Schulich courses except for MUAR classes. I am interested in any theory, music recording, jazz etc. they might offer. Has anyone successfully taken Schulich courses as electives before? What do I need to know? Thank you.
What are few easy electives outside of business? I already did pols 1000, comp 1047
I was wondering whats the best way to get an elective in the US and how to register for one theres alot of adds on the internet but does anyone have experience Iβm intrested in emergency medicine and internal medicine
Hi
I researched everywhere and could not find an answer to this. I also contacted academic counselling but I don't think they reply fast. Any help is appreciated.
Hi everyone
I'm having a hard time securing a clinical elective in FM (international status and COVID don't mix well).
I got a place in an academic center via affiliation with my school, however, they don't offer FM. My options are Emergency Medicine, Gastroenterology, Pulmonology, Pain Management, and Rheumatology.
Which of the following will be most beneficial for me, knowing that I will apply for family medicine only.
Thanks a lot
Have finance majors took Acct 3200 as a Non-finance elective? How was it?
What are some easy non-ams electives for someone majoring in ams? Also, does bus330 or eco303 fulfill as non-ams electives to count towards the major?
So right now I enrolled in Cinema and Video Games with Nathan Koob next spring. I don't have a problem with it being a late night class but I am a little worried that I'll struggle in it if I've never taken a film class before. I've never had issues with writing or analyzing readings, but I also just don't know what to expect. I don't really have anymore requirements so I'm also open to any suggestions on what I should take instead
Thanks in advance!
Does anyone know any easy CS electives that isn't partner mandatory? I'm aware CS 214 is one of them.
Hi yall, Does anyone have some good non-Schulich electives to take to meet the degree requirements for years 3 and 4?
So long story short, I have to go in for a non-elective surgery to implant a port-a-cath device in my chest later this week. It's not something that is really optional for me at this point in time. It is a medial necessity.
But I can't stop thinking about what my N has said about them both in the past and again this week upon finding out I will need one implanted. She has made it no secret that she thinks they are, in her own words, "gross".
I don't think once since I told her this news has she been truly emotionally supportive. When it is brought up, she often goes on rants about how it's ridiculous that I need one in the first place and how it's the government's fault for not getting me better drugs sooner (that's another long story). She will be driving me to the hospital for the procedure, which is the closet thing to support on the matter I can say she's given so far, but not once has she said anything in the realm of "I'm sorry, but it's going to be okay."
The funny thing is that I'm not upset that I need the implant in the first place. I live with a disease and I think it's really helped me learn to roll with the punches in life. It is what is is. I need it, so let's do it. I figured this day was coming at some point.
I'm not even sure that I'm upset that she basically described what will be my body in a few days as "gross". I've long since stopped caring about her opinion on my body. It's seldom I'll get a complement from her on my body, and even more rare that I actually feel like she desires me anyway.
I think what really bothers me about it is what if she's right. What if other people find it gross? I think that's what's really fucking with my head and self image right now. I guess I just feel tainted.
Hey guys! First post here! Iβm still in my didactic year but I have recently learned about some unique clinical rotation opportunities and was wondering if anyone has ever done anything similar or know anyone who has?
Most I found are for medical school residencies but I know sometimes PAs and medical students are on the same rotations so they might apply to PAs too.
My questions are how do you know if programs like these will count as an official rotation? If anyone has done something similar, how did you approach talking to your program about that?
My program hasnβt really talked to us much about clinical rotations yet (we donβt start until April) so Iβm not sure how the process of finding and selecting your elective works. For the rest of my programs rotations I know they determine where to place you and you get little say except for your elective.
Any insight is much appreciated! Here is a link to an article about these interesting rotations to get a better idea of what I mean: https://www.statnews.com/2017/05/02/medical-students-unusual-rotations/
I need some non-science electives and was wondering which classes you found enjoyable/preferably easy to do well? There's just a lot to choose from so I'm not sure which ones would be good options.
If you're a Science student, what non-science electives did you take and liked and if you are not a Science student which classes do you recommend from your stream?
TIA:)
I doubt this is a big deciding factor for anyone and i probably would have ended up going here anyway, but i figured I would post about it since IMO their website is pretty misleading about this.
NYU Accelerated's course list online says you get to pick two nursing electives. They have a long list of electives that are allowed to take, many of which are not from the nursing school itself. However, if you actually take the program, the classes outside the nursing school are actually really hard to get into for a few reasons:
I have a couple of courses (science courses) that transferred to MacEwan which would satisfy the non-business electives and open electives for the Bcomm degree. However, when I check my academic progress, it says those courses are not used towards the program requirement.
I'm very confused because I got a pdf file from the school of business, listing non-business elective categories (ex. BIOL, CHEM, SOCI). Also their definition of "non-business" and "open electives".
Non-business electives are courses that are outside the School of Business.
Open electives can be business or non-business courses.
Who do I contact regarding this? Has this happened to anyone before? Shouldn't my transfer courses be used towards the program?
