A list of puns related to "Non Commercial"
Edit: It appears the issue has disappeared for me. Not gonna hold my breath though.
Edit 2: Getting spotty reports that the problem has been fixed. No official confirmation on my end yet.
Edit 3: Pretty sure itβs fixed now. Paramount + is telling their customers itβs fixed and I havenβt experienced the problem since yesterday.
Recently, I've been looking into a number of publicly available datasets, and some of them have non-commercial licenses such as SKU-110K and RPC. My question is: where should you draw the line with commercial use?
Let's say we're doing some work for a profit-seeking company. Training on the datasets for a model that they intend to monetise is clearly not allowed. But what about transfer learning from the models that the authors trained? That seems less clear cut to me, but still quite sketchy. And what about using the dataset to confirm a hypothesis before going out and collecting your own images and annotations?
Any opinions, comments or experience on this that you could share would be most appreciated!
Has anyone noticed that NBA commercials are super cheesy and theyβll be like βThe run and Gun SPONTANEOUS Pelicans take on Luka MAGIC. Crazy ups vs super craftiness-who will take the cake. Catch Luka Magic vs Zion Monday at 9 eastern.β
NFL ads always take their product seriously and cut out the bs, making their product look professional and create the notion that there is much more at stake, where as NBA commercials market the product like a Comic Book title. I think this kind of stuff hurts the brand more than people admit. I donβt know, what do yβall think?
I just read a post by u/defibrillater calling out a lot of the posts on here which focus on specific and often expensive pieces of gear. What generic advice do people have to share?
How do you pack? What do you wear for transits? What easy to find item has helped you out?
For me, putting on my large down jacket over a hoody and filling all available pockets just before boarding has kept my pack under Ryanairβs new(ish) hand luggage size - throwing everything back in the bag after boarding.
Also, a small carabiner can keep your bag off the floor in a public restroom.
Hi!
A tabletop that I am in wants to use talk sprites (example of what I mean: https://img.itch.zone/aW1hZ2UvMTU3OTYyLzcyNDk1OS5wbmc=/original/X0xWbN.png). I am looking to hire multiple artists to do one character each.
For each character, I will provide references for the character, clothing, pose, and descriptions of the facial expressions. Here is an example of one of the explanation documents that I have written up for one of the characters to give a sense of what I am looking for: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Xh0AjrquMH5oVSdib7M045zjj-RtRJlm5tWboaatUv0/edit?usp=sharing

I'm making a 3D remake of Imperishable Night and I've managed to make all my own assets except for.
The music The sound effects
Now, I'm really terrible with composition in general, and I was wondering if there are any Touhou remixes that I can use, given that my game will be 100% free.
Same for sound effects.
Hey! Out of boredom, Iβve created a site where me and a few friends rank non-commercial, minor Minecraft servers (similar to US News and World Report for universities).
If youβre a server admin and want to put your serverβs hat into the ring, check us out at www.sites.google.com/view/mc-sr
(As a heads-up, this is purely for fun; we arenβt taking this too seriously and we urge you not to do so as well.)
I live in Central Ohio, and until recently there was an Urban Meyer commercial on locally for a flooring company, and it was pointed out to me today that it kind of disappeared off the air pretty quickly after he took the Jacksonville job.
Upon reflection, I can't think of any commercial featuring a current coach at all, either on TV locally or posted online. Does the league prohibit coaches from doing them, and if so, why?
As the title states. I have a new Saeco PicoBaristo Super Automatic HD8927/47 that will not power on. From speaking with another Reddit user that posts in a coffee sub, I know that this machine CAN be repaired. Does anyone know of a shop that will repair this machine? The stores I have found only repair commercial machines.

Hello friends ~
I'm Alec, and I run a show on KXLU 88.9 FM Los Angeles called A Fistful of Vinyl. This week is KXLU's Annual "Fundrazor"! Every year, /r/losangeles supporters (including /u/barbehque himself) step up and support this wonderful station! KXLU has been a staple of free radio in Los Angeles (and the world, thanks to kxlu.com streaming) for over 64 years. We've kept our 24-hour-a-day programming (can attest, I used to do 2-6am) commercial free, DJ-selected, independent, public, and community strengthened since then. Every year, we are able to continue to operate through the generosity and support of our listeners.
This last year has been an extreme challenge for everyone, including our humble little radio station. We couldn't do Fundrazor last year because of COVID. We all had to scramble to start creating our shows remotely. It's been a rallying cry for all us DJs to keep up programming while our community battles this pandemic. It is double important that we raise enough money this year, as we weren't able to receive listener contributions in 2020. So please, if you want independent radio like KXLU to continue to exist, be a force of making that a reality.
KXLU has helped start some of the most amazing bands, including Beck, Beastie Boys, Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, AFI, Girlpool, Starfucker, Days N Daze, AJJ, Hobo Johnson, and many many others.
If you have even a few bucks to spare for a good cause, contributions are tax deductible (501c3), every little bit helps. There aren't any open FM radio signals any more in Los Angeles, and commercial radio keeps trying to take ours. Let's keep them at bay and keep our signal free for as long as we can!
Tune in this week to hear all DJ's - some of whom are in their first year on-air, and others their 45th year - proclaim why KXLU needs this help, the wonderful specific purposes that your money will go to, and the passion we all have for our programming and our community. You can hear my show tonight and throughout the week as I vocally appeal myself hoarse to fundraze [sic] in an entertaining way.
Please strongly consider donating at KXLU.com. I would be beyond grateful for your support if you do.
...And if you feel like, in the memo line where you write the show
... keep reading on reddit β‘Iβm new to the gym and want to lose weight and gain muscle, thereβs 2 types of gyms on my area one is a 24/7 commercial gym with big capacity and another is a warehouse type gym with body builders etc.
I have had a tour around both and felt intimidated by them both however I like them.
The warehouse one is a bit more money per month but itβs less commercial.
As a newbie which direction should I take?
Thank you for any advice you give.
Looking at a Russian company engaged in resource extraction abroad and I saw importgenius has over 200 shipping records, but I was hoping there is a data source out there for free or one time payment for an entire report.
I built a keezer this past year with 5 taps. I have been rotating beer/wine/cider through my taps. I clean with PBW and StarSan between brews and has worked out well so far. I want to put a commercial sour on tap for the summer. I am familiar with brewing equipment restrictions at it relates to sours cross contaminating non-sour equipment and my question is: is it the same for dispensing equipment? Will the render my tubing and tap useless for anything non-sour or will my cleaning routine take care of any sour bacteria that may be left behind?

Hello, I am a beginning colorist with skills, gear and passion. I lack a show reel though hence this is what I am working on atm and the reason for this post. I am looking for any kind of non-commercial cooperation. If you or someone you know is looking for color grading for their production I hope we can mutually benefit. I am happy to discuss details below or via DM. Best regards!
I can find plenty of info about selling things/free speech items and handing out flyers w/o a table etc, but I had wanted to set up a 2'x4' table on the sidewalk with a simple sign on the table offering to answer tech/computer questions people might have, and I keep just getting results for outdoor dinning and Covid or about vendors, which I'm not.
My question is, does anyone know (or know where I can look up), besides the general sidewalk spacing guidelines, are there are any other guidelines or permits I might need to follow/obtain?
And/or, if I were to just set up some chairs on the grass in the park with the sign leaned against my chair, would this be anything permit worthy, or just "regular park" activity, so long as I'm not blocking anything?
Thanks!
Hello,
I am looking to rent a commercial property for personal usage. I would like to use it as a office and meeting place for my friends and I to use equipment I would house there.
This would not be not for profit as it's not charity or anything of the sort. Though no income would come from it.
Really, I'd be using it as a studio.
I've found the perfect property that's in a great location.
However, I wanted to ask about the legalities of this:
Would the government deem this a residential usage of commerical property?
Is there anything I should look out for in the contract?
Does it require an ABN? (I do have one that I held for other reasons. However it has not been used)
And is there anything I should look out for in general.
Or should I just find a residential property that fits my needs.
Hi,
Is it possible to upload music with non-commercial licenses? I was fooling around with this producer software and made a song I wanted to upload on spotify. Just so I can put it in my playlist or share with others. I only have non-commercial licenses of the sounds I used and I am not interested in any revenue. Would this still be possible? Without any legal action?
I was curious whether the FAA required pilots or air crew to have taken certain shots (e.g. Measles) even in a pre-Covid world. I know some professions require you to pass medical checks before completing different certification steps, and I wasn't sure whether having up-to-date immunization records were part of that.
