HIV Variant? B.1.1.529 from South Africa found in Honk Kong is spooking Nikkei 225 and causing rest of the pre market falls.

Prof Francois Balloux, Professor of Computational Systems Biology and Director, UCL Genetics Institute, UCL, said:

β€œB.1.1529 is a new lineage that has been found in Botswana that carries an unusual constellation of mutations.Β  Given the large number of mutations it has accumulated apparently in a single burst, it likely evolved during a chronic infection of an immunocompromised person, possibly in an untreated HIV/AIDS patient."

Dow Futures are Down. Japan's Nikkei 225 is Plummeting. Is this it? IDK. Maybe. Just Don't Dance. πŸ™πŸ»β€

Everything happening tonight has got me in a reflective mood and I thought I would share.

I saw an interview that Steve Eisman (real life Mark Baum from The Big Short) did where he compared 2008 for him to being Noah on the Ark. He and his family were safe, but he could hear everyone screaming and dying outside.

I really hope we can all put the same determination and single-mindedness that we have showed in buying and holding and voting, into making the world better when the time comes. If we do, I have no doubt future generations will look back on this market crash as a blessing in disguise.

No, we are not a movement, and we don't have leaders - we are all individuals in an online community, making our own decisions. But this entire saga has shown me how powerful it is when 400k like-minded people pool their knowledge and meme-making abilities together to work toward something.

Whenever we cross into the next phase, I look forward to seeing all the good things you apes will do with the tendies.

Let's be better "rich people" than the ones we are betting against.

HODL, you beautiful apes.

*Not financial advice. I literally eat crayons at the dumpster behind Arby's FYI.
